Waaaaah Waaaaah Waaaaaah is all I hear from your topic and posts.

Can't carry a team? How about all those comebacks? Oh, right. Those only are to prop Romo up. If Dak does it, everyone else is to praise. Dak wins, everyone else. Dak loses, it is him.

All those comebacks?

Show me multiple videos of him completely dominating teams. Not just a few comebacks.

I can show videos of Romo, Brady, Rodgers, Rivers, Big Ben, Brees, Ryan, Foles, Wentz ECT ECT completely dominating games. The whole game!

Not just "Hey let me try to put my all in this last drive"

Lol. "Romo completely dominating games".

Talk about exaggeration. Was Romo completely dominating in his third year? Did he even have comparable stats to Dak in his third season?

If it was a deliberate scam to cash out before being exposed, he’d have taken any number of deals. He and his agent are just playing the market economics game like cousins and garrapolo and car and so on and so on. Only difference is whether it’s true or not they can actually build a case he deserves it.

Romo dominated games in his first year starting.

He would go blow for blow with other teams, it wasn't his fault the D couldn't get stops. But he still came out slinging it.

So yes, his first,2nd and third year starting, Romo was going blow for blow all the time.

Dak can't do that. A team goes up, because out D can't get a stop, you might as well say game over.

Romo survived with bad Defense. Dak could never

This revisionist history your spinning is cute, but Romo was an interception machine in his early years.

He wants to be highest paid, based off what? He has issues with accuracy, can't carry a team on his back, and only has a high percentage throwing the ball because most of his throws are short range

Real fans don't need numbers to see he struggles with throwing a WR open ( if you have proof post a video of him doing it multiple times), throwing in tight windows, and deep/intermediate passes.

He knows this, he knows he's not that good. He knows this is his only chance to cash out, because he knows he might get exposed as not to good(like flacco), especially if Zeke doesn't play.

He's trying to scam us and strong arm us because really and truly I do agree with him, right now we have no better option. Doesn't make him a great option, just a convenient option. He knows Jerry can get desperate.

Let the guy play and show the world who he really is. If he balls out, I'll for sure rue. But I doubt he can put together a great season, and wow most of us.
he is not scamming. he is what he is. agreed that his accuracy needs work and his pocket awareness needs improvement, but he has the intangibles. he plays it safe and he minimizes his mistakes, he leans on his teammates and knows how to maximize their talents and given good resources he can translate those to wins. he has the ability to raise his play late in games, thus leading to the comeback wins. I would credit the team on that, given it seems like the team raises their play in late 4th quarter close games....he is not elite or upper echelon, he is probably 2nd tier QB at this point in his career. a lot of his problems are due to flaws in his fundamentals which based on reports he has improved and we wait and see if its helping his accuracy issues. Kitna should help him there a lot.

I have also wondered if his pocket awareness and tendency to hold the ball too long is because he didn't trust himself basically because of his fundamentals and accuracy issues, but if his fundamentals are improved, his accuracy improved, then perhaps he will tend to trust himself and not hold on to thee ball as much and perhaps better pocket awareness.

at this point, he needs a strong supporting cast, but given those resources he can translate those to wins, thus the Dak Fanatics keep pointing to that....compare that to Cousins who has similar resources, but tends to struggle to translate that to wins. lets see how he does this year. given what cousins got and how the QB market has moved, 30-33 is about the right number. lets see if he improves. we don't need to change our offer to him, if he improves, we have the option to tag him for a couple of years and give ourselves opportunity to sign him. if he doesn't and continues to be middle of the pack, then we still have options, knowing that we need to look for the next guy given we probably won't give him the 36 mill a year he is looking for.

with that said, asking to be highest paid, gave us a little glimpse into his mindset. where Wentz, Brady and few others took a little less to provide team flexibility to sign other players and focus on winning championships. him wanting to be highest paid....knowing it will handicap the team, kind of gives me the feeling he is not 100% wanting championships....does he want to win? yes, they all do. but what will he sacrifice to win.....right now...seems like nothing.

I'm not sure Dak wants/demands to be the highest paid QB.
I suspect it's either fake news or positioning by his agent.

He's not scamming anybody. No one has put a gun to their head, they don't have to pay him.

This is a negotiation. Both sides are going to negotiate and it will either get done or not. It's in the best interests of both sides to make a deal, so I'd guess that they'll make a compromise. But if he sticks to his guns and won't budge off of $36 million per year, then he's going to play out his contract and probably go elsewhere.

Here is what I don't get. Someone smarter at math help me with this.

I'm Dak. I want $36M dollars per year, the Cowboys only offer me $32M. I play out my year on my existing contract for more or less $1M per year. I play great and get my big contract next year. But I could have made $32M this year.

So how long does it take me to make up that $32M that I lost this year even if I make $36M afterward? 6 or 7 years? Financially speaking, he's better off taking $32M now rather than $36M starting next year.

Am I the only person who knows how to do math? Surely his agent must know this.

Did you see Dak's 4th quarter come back video I posted in response to your "cant carry the team on his back" remark, or does that fly in the face of your narrative?
so he single handledly carried the team in the 4th quarter. zeke, the defense, cooper others be damned....how come he couldn't do it without Zeke and Amari? two of the best in their respective positions in the league. oh, yeah, we also heard and seen the tears from Dak Fanatics regarding the OL not being the best in the league.....

Romo was in the league a full 3 seasons before he ever threw his first pass, so you're wrong.

Oops. You’re right. Apologies.
Shortly thereafter he blew dak out the water though. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

A real true dirt bag for this move.
Don't buy into this rumor unless there is some verifiable information. We've seen a lot of rumors thrown out by the tabloid media that were not true. Remember they are interested in sucking in readers, and integrity often goes out the window in that endeavor.

And even if it is true that Dak's camp is saying he wants to be the highest paid, consider that it may just be a negotiating tactic by his agent. Starting out high or low (depending on which side you are on) is a fundamental strategy in any negotiation.

its inevitable...you now fall into the DFak Lover category just because you mentioned Romo.

Romo wasn't an part of this discussion and you choose to bring up comparisons to Romo….is it an inferiority complex that you try to make Dak better than Romo?

btw, I am not saying if Romo is better or not...he is irrelevant to this discussion

wentz didn't. brady didn't. brees didn't. cousins didn't.

What a QB asks for during negotiations, is far different than what a QB actually accepts on his deal though.

Dak hasn’t even signed yet. So there’s no way of knowing what he is ultimately willing to accept.

The OP is calling Dak a scammer and scumbag because his agents are (maybe) playing hardball in negotiations.

That being said. I agree with a lot of the points in your previous post in this thread.

I just don’t think it’s fair to say that Dak isn’t willing to sacrifice to win. Based on the fact that we haven’t seen the numbers he is actually willing to accept yet.

Lol. Zeke was getting stuffed left and right, called for holding. Dak had to bail #21 and the team out. Go watch the video if you don't believe me.
