of the 2006 Romo

Both really showed there ability but started hitting a wall towards the latter portion of the season. Like last nights game, there we some portions of Romo's first season as a starter that got ugly.

Im a Dak guy. I think like Romo did in 2007 he will make huge leap in overall play in 2017. But as for the rest of this season, I'm expecting it to mirror Romos 2006.

I think they are very different, but also very similar. I think they excel at the intermediate pass, but Romo is better at the deep ball and Dak is better at the underneath stuff. That allows Dak to be less turnover prone because the shorter throws are less risky.

What I have seen is teams go out of their comfort zone (obviously this is in the NYG comfort zone) and throw a lot of exotic looks to confuse both 2006 Romo and 2016 Dak.

I think the better strategy is to run against the zone blitzes and stunting, change up our screen game a little to throw defenses off and to work against the blitz and implement more play action to work off the runs against the zone blitzes. And if it's not open deep off PA, hit EE coming off the play fake.

This offense plays better under Garrett when the pace picks up and we kinda dictate what we are going to do instead of slowing down the pace and reacting to what the defense does.

Last night he reminded me of josh freeman. I'm hoping that after the Tampa game, he reminds me of a cross between Tom Brady and Bobby Lee Swagger

:dance::dance::dance:
Most of the season he looked like the next Brady. December rolled around and talking heads started questioning wheather he wss legit after a few bad games. Cowboys and most Cowboys fans knew better. Hell, we had the player who was a candidate to be the #1 overall in the days fall into our lap (Quinn) and passed

He'll be fine. He's smart, wants to pass instead of run, he just needs to work on pre-snap recognition, which will come in time (Romo didn't get great at it until atleast 4 or 5 years into his career). Linehan can't leave him out to dry like he did when things aren't working (everyone on the Break agreed Romo would not have done much against that defence with the receivers not getting any seperation and constant blitzing), and Zeke simply has to feature more.

This is true and during the last couple of games every time we started to get some momentum and had them on their heels we committed or were called for a penalty putting us in a bad situation.

Last night reminded me of the Monday night game against the Skins in 14. The team adjusted then. Hope they will again.

Yes, Dak is good at safe wide open receivers. Romo at all the rest.

I can understand that conclusion. But overall where we go from here is on the coaches. These last two games I don't know what they are thinking but we have to get running the offense like we did all year. Last night was pee wee league play calling and Dez being....whatever the hell he was. We know what works and for some reason have gotten off course.

Why make your thread as click bait?

Include the "of the 2006 Romo" in your thread title.

Geez, this should become a rule on CZ

I remember when Staubach would have a horrible game about once a year--it happens to the best.

There was a time in Romo's career, a few years after becoming the starter, when you had no idea who was going to show up. Was it 4 td 0 int Romo or the 3 int 1 td Romo? No one knew. Dak is doing the same thing now. I wish he would just play the way he did during our 11 game streak - minus the Vikings game.

The difference was the Dallas offense was top five in yardage because of the passing game, meaning they were heavily reliant on Tony's arm without a running game to back him up.

He also wasn't involved in game planning until 2013 by Garrett's orders..

He had a Offensive coach that was in his own 'training' who was demoted from play calling..

It's an insult to compare the two situations of Romo and Dak, and we aren't just talking from the perspective of offensive line..

We also WRs like Kevin Ogletree and Jason Garrett brother passing game coordinator..

Romo is a gun slinger and isn't shy and has one of the quickest releases in the league..

Yep. He's a poor man's Favre. You live and die with Romo's arm. Dak so far is not taking huge risks so he's not going to lose you games. You miss how Romo could go down the field at times but you also got a lot of picks.

Dak needs to learn how to maneuver and handle a collapsing pocket. And lean towards more hot routes underneath when the blitzes are coming. I suspect teams are now going to be playing this offense how Minn and NYG did. Blitz and blitz often. Until he proves he can beat it consistently. He hasn't as of late.
