Dak kind of reminds me of the 2006 Romo

Yep. He's a poor man's Favre. You live and die with Romo's arm. Dak so far is not taking huge risks so he's not going to lose you games. You miss how Romo could go down the field at times but you also got a lot of picks.

Dak needs to learn how to maneuver and handle a collapsing pocket. And lean towards more hot routes underneath when the blitzes are coming. I suspect teams are now going to be playing this offense how Minn and NYG did. Blitz and blitz often. Until he proves he can beat it consistently. He hasn't as of late.

In the year he had a RUnning game and was actually part of the game plan (pre-2013 Garrett didn't have him as part of it, Jerry forcing it) and had a real OC with a legit OL he threw for 34 TDs and 9 INTs..

And that was only one year with Linehan..

Most of the season he looked like the next Brady. December rolled around and talking heads started questioning wheather he wss legit after a few bad games. Cowboys and most Cowboys fans knew better. Hell, we had the player who was a candidate to be the #1 overall in the days fall into our lap (Quinn) and passed
What are you talking about? Who is Quinn? Dak needs to get the ball out quickly. Where were the slants and quick outs last night? He got Witt a couple of times, but bless his heart, he cannot get any YAK whatsoever. Slower than molasses.

of the 2006 Romo

Both really showed there ability but started hitting a wall towards the latter portion of the season. Like last nights game, there we some portions of Romo's first season as a starter that got ugly.

Im a Dak guy. I think like Romo did in 2007 he will make huge leap in overall play in 2017. But as for the rest of this season, I'm expecting it to mirror Romos 2006.

Just saw a stat on the Herd. Tony Romo has never had back to back games under 200 yards passing in 127 career starts. Dak has 3 games in a row now. So no you have not seen a Tony Romo this bad despite what you are claiming.

So yardage is all that matters?

Oddly enough he had a rating over 100 in 2 of those games

Dak would be just the like 2006 version of Romo if you jumped into a time machine and told that Romo to never throw into coverage, always see the receiver open before you throw it, and most importantly never, ever take a chance.

Something has to be said about the wide receivers on this team not being able to get open with regularity. Where has Beasley been the last few weeks?

He's been in the same place he's always been. Go watch the play right before halftime where Dak threw to Twill and tell me he wasn't open for a TD.

No, but obviously he's going in the wrong direction. Romo may have had his struggles but never did he have a night like Dak last night. That was the most deer in the headlights game I've seen from a QB in a while. And despite that great QB rating, you cannot physically watch the Vikings game a say Dak didn't have a bad game.

Dak had a bad game last night, but the receivers were worse. Dez fell down on the first pick and wasn't open the rest of the night. Beasley was a beast on one drive, then disappeared. It says a lot about our offense when Terrance Williams was the most consistent downfield threat. No offense to T-Will, he's a good player, but he's not what this team is about offensively.

He had a 105 rating against Minnesota with 12 completions and 10 offensive points.

Yeah, that's all you need to know about QB ratings.

In 2007, Romo threw 5 picks against the Bills. Then he went 13 of 36 passing in a 10-6 loss to the Eagles in December (the infamous Jessica Simpson game).

Yes, Romo did have games like Dak did last night.

Had nothing to do with a wall. Romo struggled against better defenses home and away, Dak has struggled against 2 good defenses on the road.

So Romo would have constantly converted 1st and 20's, a 1st and 30 and constantly being hit by the Vikings? As soon as the O-line improved, Dak took over the Vikings game in the second half.

Yeah, that's all you need to know about QB ratings.
And a win. We can go back and forth with chicken or the egg, tit for tat almost pointless stats all day.

My concern with Dak right now isnt in yardage pr rating or even wins or losses. Its his 3rd down performance over the last two games. Im not a proponent of a change at the moment. But if that doesnt greatly improve Im going change my tune

Did Dak really struggle against Minnesota? He only threw 18 passes, was turnover free, and won the game. By my count, last night was Dak's first "bad" game. He struggled for three quarters against Philly in October but got it together. He just couldn't snap out of it against the Giants.

Did you watch him in 2006?

Yes of course I did. You can question his ability as a holder, but he did enough as a QB to win a playoff game. Dak is losing steam, we'll make the playoffs but we will be one and done with him at QB.

Romo is on the dusk of his NFL run. I really HOPE DAKis for real and gets his act together. It has been 20 years of mediocrity already

Romo hit a December wall three straight years from 06 to 08.
I remember those. I used to dread the after Thanksgiving games. I used to not even care that much about the first few months of the season because I knew how it was going to end.
