Don't understand why anybody in their right mind would think Hurts is better than Dak, he plays in the system tailor made for his skill set. Deep down he is still that bum from OU
Looky what we have here....
In my mind, there are 5 legitimate teams in the NFL right now. Buffalo, KC, Philly, Dallas, and San Fran. The rest are maybe average at best and mostly just gawd awful garbage. This is the weakest NFL I've seen in my lifetime.
As such, an interesting development is occurring. Dak Prescott might be the best QB of the NFC teams that make the playoffs. Seriously.
Unless Rodgers or Brady figure out how to resurrect their catatonic teams, the candidates are Jalen Hurts, Jimmy Garoppolo, Kirk Cousins, Daniel Jones, Geno Smith, Marcus Mariota, Matt Stafford, and Dak Prescott.
Rodgers, Brady, and Stafford seem to be on the outside looking in. All three are running for their lives. So Dak and Cousins might the class of the NFC playoffs.
So attrition aside - and injuries will decide much of this - the Cowboys' ability to run the ball and play defense is quite formidable, along with Dak and his tight-end trio of goodness. Another wide receiver is unnecessary.
San Francisco is the scariest if they get it figured out. Philly is half good and half fraudulent because of a cupcake schedule, and none of the rest concern me in the least. Again, attrition aside.
Let Buffalo and KC laugh at the NFC for now; here's hoping the Cowboys can earn a chance to try them. Not a team in the NFL wants to go against this Dallas front if it's healthy come playoff time.
At no pint in his career will that be the case:Looky what we have here....

I'm not worried about what or who other teams have at QB. I only worry about what Dallas has. We need to be able to win in the trenches on both sides of the ball. We block great in the running game and for our passing game then I think Dak and our current offensive playmakers can get the job done. On the defensive side of the ball if we can continue to pressure the QB and fix our problems against the run then we will be fine. Beolw are my concerns:
OLine - We need to remain healthy and continue to get better - A healthy Tyron Smith rejoining the team could be a big boost
DLine/LBers - Need to correct these issues against the run.
Offensive Play calling - Need Moore to keep the offense balanced. We don't need him acting like Dak is Mahomes and slinging the ball 50 times a game - Let the run help Dak and mix in a little of Dak running the ball
Depth at CB - We are one injury away from Bossman or Wright entering the game - Scary thought based on the way those 2 have played when given chances
What QB in the NFC do y'all consider elite?
Did Matthew Stafford retire?
One playoff win in 6 years…you can’t make this stuff up. You are delusional!

What QB in the NFC do you consider elite? It's a simple question that you tried to side step instead of answering. So you rather be clever instead of giving your honest opinion. The QB of the Cowboys is not worried about all that fluff. Just you.
I didn't say he was the best QB in the NFC.I think Dak is a good QB, but not close to being the best in the NFC…at least not at this juncture. Dak needs a supporting cast to be successful; whereas that is not a requirement for elite QBs.
My intent is not to throw a wet blanket on your observation, but does it matter? Let's say he is the best QB in the NFC come playoff time. The best team is what matters.
I still think Brady and Rodgers are the best two QBs in the NFC, what good is that doing them now? If we can't stop that damned RPO, it's not going to matter what QB we have.

It’s also important to not just base our analysis on stats alone because when we watch the games they can reveal some big plays that can often influence the outcome .Jimmy Garoppolo has a passer rating of 74.1 with 962 yards (137yds/game), 4 touchdowns and 6 interceptions, 60.8% completion % in 6 games in the playoffs in his career. In 5 out of 6 playoff games Garoppalo had a lower QB rating than his opponent. He has only been able to achieve a QB rating above 90 once in 6 games.
A perfect example of the fact that teams win games, especially in the post season, not QBs
I disagree. He did play some part in their victories. Watching the games I recall him making some throws that sustained drives . While he’s not a difference maker QB he does enough and doesn’t usually make crucial mistakes doing what’s needed. A winning culture can be infectious .Fun fact, in his 4 playoff wins, Jimmy has exactly 1 total td. In a game they won 27-10
In their sb run, he completed 17 passes for 200 yards COMBINED in their 2 wins.
Last season he threw zero tds in their 2 wins. That's not proven success, he played no part in their victories.
Dak isn't even the best QB in the division right now if we're basing it off the current season.
Hurts, Cousins, and Geno have all clearly looked better than Dak has this year.
If the playoffs started today, I'd rank Dak 4th amongst the NFC playoff teams QBs.
Yea and even when Lance started this year SF wasn’t as effective. Once Jimmy G came back in they appeared to get back in stride. They also have CMac which greatly improves their offense. Gerapollo is also a very underrated QB. They drafted Trey Lance and he hasn't even sniffed the starting QB position in a long while.
