Anytime a player does well early in his career there will always be people - press ready to anoint that player as someone who plays like Player X. I have seen many examples of this when it comes to Dak, but in no example have I seen something which correctly defines who he is and perhaps who he is alike.

No stay with me here, because i want to make this case.

I believe Dak reminds me of Joe Montana.

Physically not so much, but more of a mental aspect. Dak just finds a way to win and seems to have an uncanny understanding of this game at this level.

I believe his accuracy will improve once the game truly slows down for him. And he has a way of protecting the ball which does remind me of Joe.

As a side note, imagine where he will be when the game does slow down if this is where he is now.

Go ahead and take your shot. But I believe this guy will be greatness between the ears, which will cause him to excel on the field.

Last point, I think Wince is a better athlete. He reminds me of Aikman.

But i do believe if the eagles get an offense around him, he will be a pain in the Cowboys patoot for a while.

But i think dak will ultimately be the better player. JMO.

Who is this Wince fellow? Is he related to Carson Wentz?

Similar things were said about Colin Kaepernick, RG3, Mark Sanchez, Jay Cutler, Rex Grossman, Matt Schaub, Marc Bulger, Matt Flynn, and countless others.

Dak inherited the most perfect situation a rookie ever has in the NFL. Let's see how it plays out a few years before Joe Montana's name is brought up.

Is it too early to start carrying Dak to and from Cowboys games in a Sedan Chair?

Yes. But he did not inherit the hard work and the preparation he does every week that has Woicek comparing him to Tom Brady according to reports. And he did not inherit the charisma that has essentially won over the locker room in his rookie year. He did not inherit the poise and calmness he presents during games.

Yes, on the field he has a good situation. But the off the field traits are also what makes him special.

There is a calmness about Dak I don't see in rookies. That is what i am speaking of. Like he never thinks it is impossible to overcome.
Pretty sure stuff like that is homer nonsense that is all in your head. I thought Wentz was going to be an overrated robo QB bust - and he still may be -- but he looks calm to me. So did Winston and Mariota.

Agree.

I always come back to him playing in the SEC as the reason for him being so calm during games.

Very well said TwoDeep3. People weren't convinced after the first pre season game, people weren't convinced after the pre season, people weren't convinced after 5 straight wins, and people aren't convinced now. I am

No doubt he's a ray of hope for the future that makes everything look rosier post-Romo. That was both unexpected and awesome.

But he wouldn't be the first to crash and burn after a quick start. There are a lot of holes in his game right now, contrary to the popular uneducated opinion.

Same.

He does miss some reads down the field at times but other than that he has been unbelievable and he's just a rookie.

He is starting to run a little more too which I like.

This run on the broken screen play at the end of the game is just something not many guys can do and he seems to be able to make all of the plays from the pocket as well as being able to run when need be.

The play at 19 seconds in and the busted screen play at 2:44 in.. Wow.. Just wow

Of course he has holes. He's a rookie. I would like the name of a rookie QB who did not have holes.

Regardless, he's 11-1. And you cannot take that away from him.

That was a great play, I think next time he'll either run through that, or dive for the first down.

He didn't inherit a defence that causes turnovers (or kick return teams for that matter) which gives him consistent short fields. Seems like all his drives are from our 25.

So let's not act like he has the perfect situation people. The only reason we've won the last four or five games where our D had zero turnovers is because Dak didn't throw picks vs some of the best defenses in the league.

Wentz reminds you of Aikman haha. Aikman was one of the most accurate passers and Wentz isn't very accurate at all
