The guy I'd compare Dak to right now is McNabb. Two really solid 6'2" guys with good mobility who still wanted to throw first, neither had perfect mechanics or accuracy, but both were good at protecting the ball. The main difference is that Dak caught up to the NFL game mentally way faster than McNabb did.

This is all Jerry's fault. He's turned the majority of the die hard fanbase into pessimistic cynics who aren't happy unless they are pooping on the team or it's players. It doesn't matter that experts say Dak is doing amazing things for a rookie QB. It's okay guys and gals, you can dream again.

2 rookie quarterbacks inherited a better situation in Denver, they are not 11-1. Yes he inherited a great situation with a marginally improved offense over last season, yet the 3 backups we used last year were so good we ended up picking 4th overall...

Might as well enjoy this season, Prescott doesn't have to be the star of the team, Elliot will likely be the focal point of the O for years to come, so if Prescott can move the offense and limit turnovers while Zeke and Dak are the stars of the offense...whats wrong with that? As Bill Parcells said "he just needs to be a bus driver", and at this point, he's doing that as well as anyone, and at the same time, the team is not risking him losing his confidence.

What accuracy issues?

I don't know, I never called it an "issue" ? Calling it not perfect isn't some big accusation.

He has a high completion % but his ball placement isn't consistently elite yet. He's capable of amazing throws but has some weird unforced misses too. Probably the one thing the scouting reports got right is that his footwork is inconsistent and he loses accuracy when his feet are not set. He's still a rookie.

Similar things were said about Colin Kaepernick, RG3, Mark Sanchez, Jay Cutler, Rex Grossman, Matt Schaub, Marc Bulger, Matt Flynn, and countless others.

Dak inherited the most perfect situation a rookie ever has in the NFL. Let's see how it plays out a few years before Joe Montana's name is brought up.
I've been around athletics a long time and I know a winner when I see one. I don't need to wait,If you can't see it, that's fine.

If Carson Wentz was here and Dak Prescott was in Philly, the Cowboys would still be in first place. If Romo was able to stay healthy this season, they'd be in first place.

This offense is ridiculously talented.

The question is, what is Dak going to be down the road when things aren't so perfect? I think he'll be good, but we won't know for a good while. That was my point.
Things weren't perfect in the Vikings game. How would Wince have done there?

Same.

He does miss some reads down the field at times but other than that he has been unbelievable and he's just a rookie.

He is starting to run a little more too which I like.

This run on the broken screen play at the end of the game is just something not many guys can do and he seems to be able to make all of the plays from the pocket as well as being able to run when need be.

The play at 19 seconds in and the busted screen play at 2:44 in.. Wow.. Just wow

This was so fun to watch. Thank you, Catch.

Hey, dude, if you can find those Dan Patrick NBCSN highlights could you please post. They are of the highest production quality. I think you and I talked about it last week (I'm pretty sure it was yourself and I) :)

Thanks for the vid. Dak is life.

He didn't inherit a defence that causes turnovers (or kick return teams for that matter) which gives him consistent short fields. Seems like all his drives are from our 25.

So let's not act like he has the perfect situation people. The only reason we've won the last four or five games where our D had zero turnovers is because Dak didn't throw picks vs some of the best defenses in the league.

Your post is perfect, Canada. @percyhoward has broken this down for Russell Wilson. Wilson inherited the perfect situation.

Dak inherited a favorable offense, but not a perfect situation.

Y'all need to stop with this "perfect situation" nonsense. Stahp

Your comparison is incredibly, incredibly, incredibly way off. With all due respect, 10mm. Dak and McNabb are apples and oranges, my dude.
