Great post. IMO, the greatest thing about Dak is even if he or of the offense is having an off game, some how, some way, he'll make the plays needed to get the win. And as a rookie, it's especially impressive.

Of course he has holes. He's a rookie. I would like the name of a rookie QB who did not have holes.

Regardless, he's 11-1. And you cannot take that away from him.

If Carson Wentz was here and Dak Prescott was in Philly, the Cowboys would still be in first place. If Romo was able to stay healthy this season, they'd be in first place.

This offense is ridiculously talented.

The question is, what is Dak going to be down the road when things aren't so perfect? I think he'll be good, but we won't know for a good while. That was my point.

Name me one perfect QB, then tell me who has the best record?

None, and the one on the most talented offense in the NFL with the best offensive line, the best running back, a Hall of Fame tight end, and an outstanding group of receivers.

There is a calmness about Dak I don't see in rookies. That is what i am speaking of. Like he never thinks it is impossible to overcome.
Agreed. Dak has the mental aspects of the game like ball protection, game management, using all your tools/players, leadership qualities. These qualities are not measured in statistics so to speak. That is what I see in him already as a rookie as well. Although he has a lot to learn and certainly tons more to accomplish to be equaled to JM, he already has much of the same mental instincts.

We had the same team last year, where did they finish?

Probably a backup in the arena league. His biggest flaw is that while he's smart enough to know what to do, he's not all that great at throwing a football. Thus, similarly to Foles, when "ideal conditions" go away, there's nothing there but a guy in a jersey. Foles had a great OL, McCoy, Cooper and D-Jax all having their best seasons at the same time, and a woeful schedule. Once some of that went away, Foles immediately turned back into a pumpkin.

The dude took over the job because of previous injuries of QBs in highschool, in college and now in the pros and never gave the job back.
The dude was named after the Dakota Dude from the 90s cartoon The Cowboys of Moo Mesa by his mom.
The dude always dreamed of being a Dallas Cowboy. His favorite team growing up.
on draft day before he got "the call" his aunt was wearing a Dallas Cowboys shirt. Dak was hesitant with his aunt doing that because Dak said he didnt want to be drafted by the Cowboys (even though in his heart he did) because he said he would never play (being third string to Romo). His aunt straight up told him he was going to be a Cowboy.

He was destined. You can't deny Destiny. You can't deny fate. You can ignore it but it doesn't ignore you. I understand not to anoint him the next brady or joe montana or whatever. The dudes the first DAK. This is a new one in football lore. A new element or "type" to aspired too. We can't deny he was groomed like no other for the most powerful position in sports in the world. That is the QB for the Dallas Cowboys.

We're in chapter one of this book. if you like chapter one you are really going to enjoy the rest of the chapters.

I haven't seen enough from Wentz to believe we'd necessarily be in first place with him in Dallas. Unless you're suggesting we'd be playing Tony and Wentz would be on the bench, working on his mechanics like he should be in PHI behind Daniel.

And my response was that Daks preparation off the field and his calmness and poise on the field will have positive results when those situations take place.

Up to now Wentz has handled their problems poorly. My guess is that it will change in time. He's is too talented not to.

The goal of any football team is to have a good QB and build around him with good talent that ultimately wins football games. That's what fans should want. That's what the Cowboys have right now, yet Prescott gets penalized by his own fanbase because he has good players around him, when that should be the goal of the franchise.

I guess I'm just confused.

So Dak should be penalized for this?

There is no way you can know that. No one can. You are building a straw man and asking us to buy into it to support your own argument.

Just because your IQ is too low to form a response, doesn't mean it's bait. The fact that you had to make a comment instead of just moving on again shows how much I'm in your head. Don't worry. Your Dak pajamas will still fit no matter what.

Wentz reminds you of Aikman haha. Aikman was one of the most accurate passers and Wentz isn't very accurate at all

Put a set of receivers around hiom and give him a bit of protection from the defensive rush and them tell me about Wentz.

Dak Prescott = Joe Montana?
My gracious, the blue and silver Kool-aid is abundant and overflowing.
My Cowboy cup runneth over.
Drink up, drink up. There's plenty for everyone.

Reread my post. You missed it. I said they are alike in some aspects.
