There would have been as long as they did not have to give up draft and/or player capital to sign him. If they could get him to agree to it they could give him, and his contract, away.
Had our chance.

Daksters have to suck it up worse than all of us that told you so, can't believe I just said that and its horrible but it's the truth.

Means nothing, if the owners want him gone he'd find somewhere else to go. That no trade clause is meaningless.
There are probably 10 to 12 teams Dak would agree to go to. Love to go to. But no team is going to give up anything to take on his $60 million AAV contract. If Jerry wants “him gone” he could give Dak and his contract away. If he wants something in return Dak will remain a Cowboys player. The clause doesn’t mean Dak won’t play elsewhere, but it isn’t “meaningless”.

No trade clauses are not real obstacles. You can always bench the player to get him to agree to the trade. Daks salary is the big obstacle.

Exactly. Cowboys fans ignore this. Who is going to take a average QB for 60 million per year? Nobody is that dumb except for JJ.
If it's the going rate this year & a bargain going forward, why wouldn't they? For a proven veteran, unparalleled leader & MVP candidate. Seems like Jerry should get a commission for getting him all locked up for them. All they gotta do is acquire him & enjoy that return on investment.

Largely irrelevant. No team is going to agree to take on Dak's annual $40 million+ salary, maybe in the final year, if Dak were playing well and Dallas agreed to pay part of it. His guaranteed $ is the bad part, meaning they can't realistically do anything til after 2026, and even then it's painful.
STeelers & Denver worked it out on Wilson
Never is a long time...

They didn't work out anything. The Broncos took an $85 million cap hit, the Steelers signed him for the vet minimum, ~$1 million.

Don’t understand why The Jones allowed Dak to put in a no trade clause in his contracts! Not good Business we are stuck with him!
One day, I heard that an elderly person in my extended family was apparently caught walking around naked outside in the middle of the night, because they were confused and thought they were in the shower.

He was about the same age as Jerry Jones.

So........ are there people who are surprised Jerry doesn't understand how to craft good contracts and not get ripped off? Would you expect a 7 year old how to write contracts? He's a senile old man
