Lol, remember that is a work of fiction. But we need to get Micah and Dak some “playoff viagra” because they can’t perform.
Maybe some for the coaches too. I mean having a defense that can’t stop the run and an offense that can‘t run the ball and you expected a Super Bowl and when you didn’t get it you blamed the QB? That’s some wild stuff there.

It's funny to me that 'hater' is the go-to label to dismiss someone’s criticism. Instead of acknowledging that people can have genuine disagreements, name-calling becomes the easy out.

Upset? Yes, I am upset. I've been waiting 28 years for my favorite team to play in a significant game. Then a QB comes along, (whom I supported for years) who consistently fails to win important games. What does he want in return? To be the highest paid QB in the HISTORY of professional football. A contract that would cripple the team’s salary cap for years making it hard for them to build a team around a guy that can't get the job done. So, I guess if that makes me a "hater", then so be it.

If the shoe were on the other foot, and Dak were on the Giants doing this to them, you’d be laughing all season at the stupid contract they gave him.
Really? Have we reached a new low where we're crying over the term "Dak haters"? Relax bud. "Dak Haters" or "Anti Dak crowd" doesn't matter. Nobody is dismissing your opinion or anyone else's with that term. It's simply referring to a certain group of people. Let's not be sensitive. We all want the Cowboys to win but pretending that we don't know how the QB market has worked for ages is not helpful. You guys were upset last time at 40mil. Now dude is the 14th highest paid player. This is a constant cycle.

Every negotiation we lose bc instead of locking them up early on a discount we wait til the last minute. Yet you all just want to blame the players more than anyone

Our whole organization suffers from Playoff Dysfunction.

I’m pretty much resigned to the fact Dak is going to get signed. So whatever. Here’s my beef though. Let’s pretend I’m a male escort (if my mom is reading this I am not, lol). So a woman pays me to show her a good time. With the text messages, the date, the dinner I am well worth the money. Like I’m gold. This woman is feeling the best she’s felt in years and she’s having a lot of fun. We get to her place and the lights go off, or on, and she wants to seal the deal and I have ED. Every time she gets hot and bothered I can’t perform.

Is paying me MORE MONEY going to cure my ED and get me to perform?
I would tweak this scenario just a bit to even make it more like a team effort which a football team is.

So if the lady pays you more money for non- performance it DOESN'T ALLOW you to hire myself and my boy MOJO to lend reinforcements and help you complete the task at hand.

Look at your fee as the salary cap. By not taking more of her money, you can now divide the pie ( pun intended) as to where all 3 of us can gather a more equitable slab and complete the task at hand

Nice article, seems he is in a good place mentally. Has to do right by him and his family, it’s a business.
As a critic of Dakota, I have to commend him on his present contract.....he took Jerry to the woodshed and will now inflict maximum pain.

Could eventually work out good for both parties.....IE, Dak gets paid elsewhere and Jerry's team reached 11 Billion in value. Win-Win

Still gotta overcome that anxiety.
Not for nothing but I'd LOVE to see what Cooper Rush would do in a playoff game

We know he's a 2nd string guy, but we all know that sometimes even the mediocre players sometimes elevate in prime time.......just curious

I completely agree. By paying a non performer more it causes people that could perform not to get hired.

And I would also add by paying an individual more money who already doesn’t perform, how will that motivate him to perform? This is a destructive cycle the Cowboys have been dealing with for years. We grow our own talent and they don’t perform and to remedy that we just pay our unperforming talent more money expecting different results. I am completely baffled why the FO can’t see this. Or maybe they refuse to see it.

Our guys are soft and throwing money at them will not cure their softness. They get bullied by the big boys of the league and paying them more money is not going to toughen them up.

Only a Dak over Dallas fan can read that quote and think it sounds like “not if but when”.

“If they want to move on I understand. It’s a business”

“Things have to be right in my end as well”

Dak over Dallas fans think that is “positive” talks lolololololol
Dak had the best season of his career last season. If the other 52 guys on the team could say the same the Cowboys would have won the Super Bowl. They can’t say that and the Cowboys didn’t win the Super Bowl. I’m pretty sure Todd France has pointed that out to Jerry. Pay Dak or hire someone else to be QB1. It’s up to Jerry. Dak doesn’t run the Cowboys organization.

Dak had his "Big Year" against the worst pass defense schedule in the league, and choked hard against a middling Packer defense that fired their DC. I wonder if Jerry has pointed that out to Todd France.

You honestly think he's worth it? You're really willing to pay him that kind of cash? There seems to be some weird idealogy that, just because the QB market exists, that we have to abide by it. We don't have to pay Dak that kind of money, and, we shouldn't.

As I've said from the beginning, if Jerry wanted this deal done it would have been done long ago, it's that simple.
Obviously they made him a lower offer and said you're not getting it done in the playoffs, so take it or leave it.

Jerry is going to extend him, the reason I think that, is Jerry has made no plans for dak leaving.
You could say lance, but everyone except jerry knows that is viable.
They are going to sign lamb too , and he isnt worth it , but they are going to sign both of them.

All 3 stars failed bigtime in GB game, and they will all 3 be rewarded with big new contract, as jerry needs his stars, they
are marketable, and jerry values that over winning.
