“Don’t blame Dak bc he is an All Pro and the whole team played like trash vs GB!!”

That- is supposed to exonerate Dak? Cmon man.

No— with the great big bag comes great big responsibilities.

Dak has not shown up in Jan enough and if he is the “leader” everyone thinks he is— then he needs to first lead himself and put his best on the field in the playoffs and then lead his teammates to their best by leading by example. And no— thumping a mediocre TB team — while good— isn’t enough to change the narrative when you lose the next two playoff games you play.

Dak’s issue is that he is getting paid for Prime Rib production in the playoffs, and he keeps delivering hamburger production when it matters most.

Pointing the finger at the rest of the team and saying they need to play better too is simply refusing to accept the simple fact that the guy who gets the biggest bag will get the criticism when things go to crap.

And things have gone to crap in Jan during Dak’s tenure. Often. To pretend he isn’t responsible for any of that is delusional.
It is dishonest

That is my take as well. Prescott has the domineering position and Jones has the subservient one within this particular negotiating situation.

It is circumstance that Jones constructed to his own detriment. However, Jones will continue projecting publicly he has equal or superior positioning within these actual current nonexistent negotiations. No one can get over on Mr. Mad Genius. No one.
This is true only if Jerry still wants Dak on the team

This I agree 1000%.......it's like we are wasting/playing with a year of other players' careers. It's not hard to see......
  • Jerry and Stephen are too scared to pay him what he wants ( can't blame them there )
  • But they are also scared to lose him or start over at the QB position
Instead of having the balls to make a decision and live with it, they are hoping Dak will have a bad year (performance-wise or injured) to bring his market value down to bail them out.
Maybe they asked for some concessions and were denied. Maybe now they are playing hardball.

Only 3 things will happen to Dak if He plays without a new contract, each one hurts His value

1. He finishes the season as the starter and struggles
2. He is injured dor the season or injured and loses his job
3. He loses his job in an open competition this preseason

Some would counter argue he finishes the season as an MVP candidate but we all know that ain't gonna happen without a star running back

Jerry Is gonna be vindictive and hold Dak hostage

That last part is what I don’t understand about the joneses. If he gets injured do they have a LEGITIMATE back up plan? That kind of thinking is what got them in this mess in the first place.

Dak gets hurt 2020 and they have 3 back ups who didn’t really do well. That also has to do with poor offensive line play as well, but I believe the joneses figured they would get a cheap Dak due to the injury. Funny part is, with every game he missed and the QB stunk up, his cost increased.

If Lance is the so-called Leverage against Daks performance or injury, then his 5th year option should have been picked up but they didn’t. Typical joneses, the bark of a Rottweiler but the bite of a chihuahua
Dak only got paid in 2020 because of POLITICS. Dalton balled out even after that late Hit that His O Line did not rally to defend Him. . . the message was sent

This is not true. Truth is there are 2 QBs fighting for a new contract coming into camp

1 is an 8 year veteran that is "Still improving Every Year" who wants top $ The other is an uber talented unknown who has not earned anything yet

Jerry is in a win win situation. He will get the best out if ine if them.

Jerry Jones could end his contractual relationship with Dak Prescott today if he wanted. Negative salary cap implications are the only thing stopping him from pulling that trigger immediately if Jones wanted Prescott gone. Same applies to the backup quarterbacks. He would have already kicked Prescott to the curb if he had enough confidence in Cooper Rush and/or Trey Lance before today.

I am not sure what it is that Jones projects for some observers? Is he seen as some kind grandfatherly figure? Is it the false perception he is senile? Is it something else? I do not know.

Jones is not someone new on the scene. He has been around Dallas and the NFL for nearly 40 years. The <expletive> has shown he has made cold-blooded decisions if it gives him what he wants.

Arlington, Texas resident footed $325 million-plus to build a stadium for a billionaire.

He flat out lied to Tony Banks, stating he would mentor Quincy Carter in his rookie season and then gave him a pink slip before the start of the regular season.

Tom Landry's time in Dallas was done when Jones bought the franchise. Instead of meeting Landry face-to-face and then flying Jimmy Johnson into town, Jones did the reverse. Such an unceremonious end to a Pro Football Hall of Fame head coach. Dumped like yesterday's trash. Landry would not be the last Hall of Fame head coach he would dispense similar treatment.

Tony Romo was kicked to the curb as soon as The 2016 Team Chemistry Euphoria enraptured him like some fans and media alike. The in-season instantly demoted former franchise quarterback was not even graced with a pretend make-believe competition for the starting position.

Those are just a few examples. Jones is the owner. No one can stop him from doing whatever he wants--despite counterargument examples like his DNA Kid 'throwing him into a wall' when he tried drafting Johnny Manziel.

Jones wants Prescott on the team. He wants him on the team under contractual terms he agrees with. Will Jones extend or re-sign Prescott under the terms he wants that Prescott will accept? That is the real 'if Jerry still wants Dak on the team' situation resting beneath all this ongoing what if speculation.

Ok, since you know so much, how is Kurt's explanation of those INTs wrong?
You do know KW says he’s not throwing those balls and Dak is slow reading the D, and throws to the wrong guy and doesn’t read the D well on the pick 6, your spin on giving Dak a pass is hilarious to say the least KW isn’t throwing those balls but old Dak is just putting it up for grabs. As Dak said “I stunk” and you wonder why CD is pissed wide open and Dak throws int 1 then wide open and it’s pick 6 time. Better put that often used video on the back end.

I wouldn't bet against Dak, especially during the regular season. Keep in mind, that he and MM are in the same boat, trying to prove Jerry wrong. Hell, the last he was playing lights out the last 8-10 regular seasons. Even some of his hardest critics were changing their tune. That is why the GB game disappointed so many fans who thought he had finally turned the corner.

In other words, it would not surprise me to see him have a career season but it won't be enough for a post season run.

That's not what Kurt Warner said. Nice spin on your part. One would believe you if they didn't watch the tape. As usual, lies from you.

A/C where do you find these idiots?
Is he related to Dak?
Or is it you IRL?
There are more. They are not necessarily Dak fans. They simply say the truth. You should be glad there are different video creators saying and seeing similar things.

Rally a response? The man helped the packers destroy the defense with his horrific play. Whatever he did in the 2nd half was a pointless show of bravado given that the game was well out of reach.
A lot of people around these neck of the woods don't wanna talk about the 1st half, Only thing that matters is how awesome he was in the 2nd.

No skin off my back but anyone who tries and defend Dak needs to visit their local eye doctor......
Yes, that includes Kurt Warner also............ :muttley:

Other than the 2 INTs (which Kurt Warner and Cole Beasley broke down and explain whose fault they truly were on) in the 1st Half, Dak played good. He led the offense down for a TD early in the 1st quarter.
