Dak on why he wants to continue being a Cowboy

The thing with Dak is that it has never been the goal to be good enough to win super bowls, he's only needed to be good enough to get paid. And fortunately for him he's been able to accomplish that by beating up on the tomato cans of the NFL for 8 years.

Aikman would have been beating holes in walls over the constant playoff failures, but not Dak. Dak doesn't have and will never have the same mindset. The franchise might be in a better place if he wanted championships as much as he wants the bag of cash, but he doesn't
Even if he had the mindset, don’t matter. He still can’t process a defense quickly enough. He doesn’t have the elite QB talent to get it done. He’s your ideal backup, a QB that keeps you afloat if your starter goes down.

Aikman did have it, as he could fire precise lasers at every level of the field, his timing precise, plus he had the mind-set. That’s why he was the number 1 draft pick.

There are plenty of players that shoot the 3 in the gym hundreds of times a day and nail them. It’s still not going to make them Steph Curry, because none of them have the hand eye coordination that he was genetically gifted with, along with other traits.

You can shout until your blue about how Dak works hard and has drive and built a football field in his backyard and calls all the players and they sing kumbaya together…. Doesn’t matter…. Dak is who he is… unless there are some major changes in his core DNA, he’s gotta go..

The fact that he’s a drama queen and fake as hell, acts like he’s accomplished great things on the football field but is just a garbage time stat ladder that throws other folks under the bus, he’s got Tad as his mouthpiece, makes it just that much easier…

That's right and that's why you all get together and throw a party a couple nights before and all agree to pull no shows. It's been a long season. "We're tired."
That's almost everything, but don't forget the follow up is to then get the highest paid contract in the league at your respective position.

It's a pretty solid system they got going.

BTW, this is Dak’s college degree at work..

“Why do you want to work here?”

“There is no other company I would rather work at. The legacy of <insert company name with a huge brand> is so well known, being at any other place wouldn’t be the same.”

Blah, blah, blah…
Nailed it. Dak is a walking sound byte. Spitting clichés at every opportunity. No true warrior spirit is going to follow this guy anywhere. Unfortunately there are plenty of 'happy to be here' types who suck that crap right up.

I'm sure everyone here would love for Dak to be the QB to take the Cowboys to the Super Bowl. How could even a Dak hater even say they wouldn't want the Cowboys back in the Super if Dak was the QB?
I know I would, but years of disappointment has me not believing he can play well and not panic in the post season.

It's the whole Charlie Brown and Lucy thing with the football.

Dak is completely conflicted with what he wants. He wants to remain a Cowboys but it's conditional. Yet he restricts the Cowboys' options by insisting on a "no-trade" clause. Ask for less and be more flexible.

Almost 10 years in and "if you resign me Jerry to 60 mill for 3 more years I'm gonna take us to the Superbowl." I have one of the worst playoff records in NFL history and I crap myself in any big games..............................But I'm ready now! And some of you fall for this sh**.

The comment about the “bubble and turf” and with a new contract and “more QBs” should have one show how lame this dude is.. like it means something..

all that practice and you still can’t beat a good defense.. We heard the same thing about Amari practicing there, just like CeeDee is talking about it. Didn’t prevent Amari from being the last scapegoat before Quinn..

Right now Todd France owns the Cowboys.
If he gets this guy another contract from this organization, that's gotta vault him into best agent ever conversation, right?

If I was him, I would only rep Cowboy players. All cowboy players would know I'm their only option and I wouldn't have any stresses about negotiating with competent organizations.

If he could break this curse he would be carried on shoulders high around this town for years to come…

Dak can't have it both ways, nor can any of these players. One day he wants to do right by his brothers, the next day he wants to be a Cowboy for life. Unless Jerry pays him top QB dollar he is NOT signing here. I have no doubt he wants to be here, and wants to win a ring, but.......not many like Patty in the league, but even Patty is making a killing in endorsements

Yea, every fan wants the Cowboys back in the Superbowl no matter who the QB is. The realist know that Dak isn't the Guy to get them there. Dak lovers are in Dreamland thinking he will.

1 first place vote (Tad probably snuck in to cast a vote), the rest of the 49 going to Lamar…

This is the type of awards his fanboys hang their hats on.. that and “man of the year”….
Only Allen had a first place vote Dak 0, but they are beating their chests that’s winning to them, pretty sad and says a lot about their mindset, losers

Your exactly right! But it's funny how players rally around guys like Mahomes. Dak gives the team no inspiration with his play.
Mahomes has a great team around him that’s committed to winning. You don’t see his defense laying eggs. That’s what gives us no inspiration. Mahomes had a INT last night, but his team continued to battle. You don’t win back-to-back Super Bowls without having a great team. The Chiefs have a lot better management than the Cowboys. Our problem isn’t at QB.
