Dak has come on strong lately, and he may make this a tough decision eventually...but for now, I still think Romo.
I like the comparison on the headlights and the throws water over his head. That really is how they handled pressure when they were younger in a nutshell. Dak cringes up and gets more conservative, Tony goes buck wild and starts throwing interceptions. LOLYes Dak has trouble with zone. No doubt about that, B. But let's not forget that Romo couldn't read a blitz to save his life, or he might have been even better.
Dak gets the deer in the headlights look and Romo threw water over his head when he knew he had no clue on what the D was doing. They are both overachievers. and both have amazing stats but with nothing to show for them.
The big difference is, Romo's legacy is already set in stone, where Dak is still chiseling his.
I love when people act like Romo didnt have future HOFers on his team in his career to try and justify their points. Both QBs had very talented teams that lacked in certain areas.Tony WAS surrounded with this talent level in 2007.
13-3, first round bye. You think that was all Romo?
He was more interested in Daisy Dukes and Cabo then he was getting ready for the G-Men.
He did finally get that maturity, but by then his body was gone.
Romo with Daks rosters.
Easy.
Given their lack of draft pedigree and their overall performance and win percentage, I never really understood why so many fans outright hated Dak and/or Romo...especially given what we had to endure post Aikman.I only know because I posted a thread midseason comparing both of them. It really is uncanny how similar their stats, growth and their playoff opportunities mirror each other. Both different quarterbacks, but both were not first round talents, and got by with athletic ability and smarts or leadership, and needed time to develop. But so do all QBs, something we don’t always given them time to do.
Once again, the big difference is Dak has three years on Romo so by the time Romo was really learning how to be a great quarterback it was too late. Dak is a bigger guy than Romo and can take the punishment better, but he runs more, especially for downs and TDs, and is more susceptible to injuries caused by that such as his ankle snap he had a few years ago.
I went to the stupid stats part. Tell me, what have those lovely "stats" ever accomplished if they never achieved a SB? Nothing! That is a stat you can take to the bank.Did you read the more accomplished part or did you go right to the stats part..
lmao...oh yeah, go outside and find a dog, whistle, see if it comes to you. If the dog don't show up will the dog have an agenda?Because dogs always come when you whistle.
People like you either have an agenda or have amnesia.
Down the road? He's already forgettable. He did absolutely nothing to keep Dallas on the relevancy map.I loved watching Romo play the game, but his history of injuries combined with lack of overall playoff success will make for his career to be easily forgettable down the road.
I'd consider his and Dak's careers to be a push at this point. It remains to be seen if Dak can achieve anything to elevate himself to a different level.
Does that say more about Rodgers, the team around him, the coach, or all of the above?Aaron Rodgers made Mike's offense run. Romo wasn't Aaron's level and it still resulted in one successful playoff run.
All of the above honestly lol.Does that say more about Rodgers, the team around him, the coach, or all of the above?
You really think being voted to the pro bowl makes you automatically great??? LolHow is your line average when Flozell, Gurode and Leonard Davis were Pro Bowlers lol? Man I'd kill for those guys on this line lol.
Given Romo's INT rate is 42% higher than Daks if that supports your premise that Romo sees the field better. And if he does see the field better that means he was too big of a risk taker which means seeing the field better didn't make a difference BTW, Daks Td rate and completion % is better than Romo, so you can't say it's a risk vs reward choice.Romo sees the field better, but what does it matter now?
Dak is our quarterback and wishing for Romo, Aikman, Staubach or Meredith doesn't amount to a hill of beans.
It's ride or die with Dak.
So I take you're too young to have watched Romo play?First time ever hearing this
so with Romo its other players choking, but with Dak, its him messing up not the teammate? my point was not that romo choked, but that its a double standard by some. coming up with excuses on why we lost with romo, but bashing Dak endlessly when the team loses. So Crayton dropping a huge 3rd down pass that Romo scrambled to get him the ball , get the first down and either flip the field or score and/ or Romo dropping a dime at the end where Crayton slowed down instead of running through the route was Romo Choking? Or the Dime he threw to Dez … the murray fumble was Romo choking?
@WillieBeamen Hey hermano, I didn't mean to put "hater" there. I should've put "critic." I don't consider you a hater. I went to edit the comment but I waited too late. I apologize. So I take you're too young to have watched Romo play?
B, you're one of the fair Dak haters we have here. Please don't let an agenda thread like this one makes you hate him. I saw and paid very close attention, to that "I Love Tony Romo" thread before the mods deleted it. I know for a FACT one of the reasons posters here that hate Dak stems from Dak taking Romo's job. Tony was a failure and as of right now, Dak has been too. It's simple as that, hermano.
why is Allen way better than Dak?Oh ok. Those same fans are saying the same thing about Josh Allen. Another QB way better than Dak
lol...nice, hermano, leave that word "hater" alone, it belongs to Rockport. It's his favorite word when he has nothing to say but babble.@WillieBeamen Hey hermano, I didn't mean to put "hater" there.
