Dak is a bus driver. He is no where near the level as Mahomes. Every team that is successful needs an offensive line. The difference in this superbowl was the Bucs defense and a great quarterback. The Chiefs lost to a better team today.

 

They pay Dak too much they wont have the cap money to build a team around him. As of right now they don't have the cap money to tag him without restructuring current contracts.

Dak Prescott being able to win a Super Bowl should never be in doubt but it'd not really up to just him. Winning a Super Bowl is a team achievement. Remember, football is the ultimate team sport and its grand prize is the ultimate team achievement.

 

Mahomes is still on his rookie deal. His new extension starts in 2022.

You don’t belong in any conversation about qb’s.

 

If you lose Dak what will you even get with all that extra cap? Reach on some has been qb like Ryan Fitzpatrick and sign one or two free agents? Don’t forget about our awesome drafting.

Dak is a proven player. He can win with the right team around him. So figure out a way to put a team around him and stop making stupid mistakes on role players.

 

Dalton looked better than mahomes. Maybe they needed the Red Riffle out there? They really could have used that “Dalton efficiency” you kept bragging about.

Mahomes was ducking the pressure the entire night instead of...instead of standing in there and delivering. Was feeling false pressure way before he had to. First thing he did was look to see how to escape...instead of who was open down field.

It has nothing to do with lower tier QBs like Dak and Dalton getting similar regular season results.

 

Dak has proved he needs a lot of talent around him or he looks bad. Remember before Cooper? They pay him 40 million the Cowboys won't go anywhere near a Superbowl. They would have a better chance at a superbowl with a great defense and a good quarterback that doesn't cost what Dak wants. The Cowboys found 2 good quarterback in Romo and Dak so they can find another one. Dak is good but not good enough to justify 40 million. One day they are going to have to get a quarterback in the first round. They have't drafted a first round quarterback since Troy.

 

The Cowboys are a mediocre team that has problems with culture and GM. They need to make changes and overpaying Dak would be the same old mistakes they usually make. They would guarantee staying mediocre. If you want to see Dak as the Cowboys quarterback then that is what you will get, but you wont see them playing in the Superbowl. What has Dak proved? He has one playoff win. He has good season numbers, but not playoff numbers.

 

There is a salary cap and if the Cowboys pay Dak 40 million they wont be able to build a defense. As it stands right now they can't even tag him without restructuring contracts.
