Dak Prescott Contract

People thought the same thing when Romo went down..then Dak stepped up. I'm not saying it would happen again, but to give up on a season after the QB goes down might not be the best plan. You never know what will happen.

Dak is the most important player, but he's not the best...not yet at least.

How many backup QBs swirled behind Romo before Dak got there, betterquestion is how long did it take Cleveland to find one? Your not gonna find a franchise QB on a yearly basis.

If Dak goes down with a long-term injury, I guarantee you this season is finished for this team. If anyone else goes down with a long-term injury, there are replacements on this roster that would allow the team to keep rolling and winning.

This proves who is the best and most important player on this team. Without Dak, this team is curtains.

Really it proves that we have not been able to groom a decent back-up quarterback in decades. That and about 25-30 other NFL teams would be finished if their starting QB goes down, doesn't necessarily mean that their QB is the best player on the team (most important? possibly to sure. best? Couldn't say that on the vast majority of teams who would suffer if they lose the starting QB).

Would Dak really pass up 28 million a year? Would any team offer him more in free agency? I would call his bluff. Not paying him 30+. Wentz, Roethlisberger, and Wilson are overpriced.

You know with Marinelli his defense is a total failure overall weather it’s getting gashed in secondary by Rodgers 2x or getting his speciality so called weak *** DL getting shredded by Rams running game he’s a total package for complete failure.

You're assuming that I'm talking about finding a franchise qb. That is an incorrect assumption. :) I was merely referring to not giving up on the season if Dak went down.

I like Dak a lot, I don't like the suggested $30M+ salary that is being thrown around - but, I don't want to see anyone else there but Dak behind center (I am not talking about if you could replace him with bonafide star that is already on another team - let that go)...we need the shiny new OC to call his own plays - don't even let garrett into the meeting rooms when you are designing the game plan for the week...THEN, and only then will I trash Dak if he doesn't succeed - if this team is healthy and we don't have the wet blanket thrown on the team by JG's blandness, then this could be a special year....

Hell, we still haven't found one.

Ok undercover Philly fan, we got one and he is far better than Romo, Wentz, Jimmy Garoppolo, Cousins, Matty Melting Ice Ryan, Watson, etc

The #’s says otherwise. Bring some facts next time.

I've been a Cowboy fan for a long time. For a guy who seems to be far more of a Dak fan than a Cowboys fan, don't throw rocks if you are in a glass house.

As far as numbers:
http://www.espn.com/nfl/statistics/player/_/stat/passing/sort/quarterbackRating

Dak was . .
14th in rating
16th in TD passes
15th in yards
19th in yards per attempt
10th in completion percentage

etc. That's not a franchise QB.

. . . and no, wins aren't a QB stat. If you want to go there, Zeke Elliot or Cooper are the team's best players because when they don't play the team doesn't win (even with Dak).

P.S. why is it always the Dallas Defense choking in the playoffs ?

Dak is the best player on this team and is also the leader. Dudes comes up clutch in the biggest moments while improving his skill set on a yearly basis( Passing Yds, TD, completion% , playoffs wins , division wins etc ). The real issue was OC limiting Dak’s skill set with limited offensive play calling, but going forward shouldn’t be a issue.

Pay the man & win some SBs ala Russel Wilson /Brady

Dak is the best player on the team?

Share the vape bro.

Lol this idiot that’s why Dak has far more playoff success than your guy.

Completion % : Dak
2016 : 67.1%
2017: 62.9%
2018: 67.8

Completion %: Russel Wilson
2016: 64.7%
2017: 61.3%
2018: 65.6%

Bring some facts next time.

Easiest way to be able to confidently write someone off is to see them post completion percentage without context.

Monkey, you truly believe Cooper Rush or Mike White could lead the team to wins in Dak's absence? Do you truly believe that?

12 more days, just 12 more days.
There will still be these threads but there will be a heck of a lot more to talk about and read so these can be skipped over and get buried real quick.

Because I rather read about the next generation water boys at this point.

You haven't seen the new coordinator call a single play, yet you are convinced that the play calling issues have been solved? Why is that?
