I'm a homer, but it does matter. This is a game where he and the entire team needs to man up
Two big reasons. Can’t lose ground in the division race and CONFIDENCE booster for the players and coaches.

I don’t know why but I’m feeling the Cowboys win and by a good margin

He'll be who many of us already figured out that he is. Can't win a big game Dak.
Yeah, there couldn't be any other reason or any other player(s) / coach(s) to blame. Kind of like being a golfer, right? He wins or loses on his own. What nonsense. Dak wasn't the only reason Dallas has lost those other "underdog" games and he wouldn't be this week either. But it's convenient for those that have small minds and way too much time on their hands. Dak is going to ball Sunday - we'll see how all the other players and coaches perform that make up this team.

But I've heard in this thread Dak not the Cowboys is 8-3 against the Eagles. So it's cool to give him full credit if he wins the game but if he loses it's on the team not him. Some of you jump through hoops for Dak and defy all logic. Do we need to go back to 1-7 and try to prove Dak played good in those games? Pretty obvious most of the time he didn't and that's why we lost. He gets the biggest paycheck for a reason.

This is a QB league the QB gets the most credit when a team wins and they should get the most blame when they lose. Unless like I said Dak has a great game and the defense just can't get a stop or the running back fumbles it. But most of the time when a team wins the QB plays well and when the team loses a QB does not play well.

I've been hard on Dak this year but this is non-sense. Dak is a top 15 QB. A QB in that range is going to need the team to help him. This is more of a team effort that includes the coaches also calling a good game. Dak can win the SB but he's going to need his team doing their jobs as well. You can't expect Dak to shoulder the team. That's left to the elite QB's of the league and there's less than a handful of those.
And as we have seen numerous times in the past few weeks, even the elite QBs are not able to carry their teams at times - even when they are favorites! Sidenote: Dak is Top 10 - name 14 ahead of him and it will be easy for me to knock off 4 of them. Just pathetic and moronic how folks pile up on Prescott as if he has total control of the entire team and coaches.

I mean if Dak throws 3 TDs 0 INTs and the Cowboys lose that's not his fault it's on the defense. But if he throws 2 Ints 0 or 1 TD and they lose it is. It's pretty obvious when it's the QBs fault and it's not.
Your first post didn't say that. You were referring to wins and loses. To answer this statement here, then yes. I agree with that.

Does it matter if a QB falls to 15, 14, 13, 12, 11 or 10? I'd say those guys are going to be somewhat similar.

Most of the time when a team wins the QB played well and when they didn't win the QB didn't play well. It's a QB league and they get the biggest paycheck by a lot for a reason. Some here just have built in excuses for Dak (not you)

I can bet any amount of money that in the one win and 7 losses Dak had when he was underdog he did not play well most of those 7 games if not all of them.

Dak needs to be hot and sharp for 60 minutes. AJ Brown is phenomenal this year. Stops will be hard to come by.

With how trash Dak supposedly is, you would think he was a underdog more than 8 times in his career. Where did you pull this trash stat out from?

Yeah and many of those teams were awful. This team has won I think 22 out of 27 of their last games including playoffs last year. One loss was where Hurts sat because they wrapped up #1 seed and we won in Dallas. Dak did not face Hurts last season at all.

But ok then what you're saying is it should be no problem for Dak to win Sunday. I hope you're right.
That game they also sat like 6 defensive starters and called up practice players to fill the roster for that game. Dak threw for like a million yards to rub it in and get those stats up... for some reason they always refer to that game as their "got you moment".

Bottom line is its not just Dak who has to show up but the entire team.

1-7 (including playoffs) as an underdog the last 4 seasons. He is an underdog Sunday.

I'm sure his internet guards will come in and try to say that number doesn't matter but it does and it's undisputable.

Unless he's just going to have an entire career beating bad to average teams which will get you to the playoffs but no where in the long run. We already been there done that with Romo.
He's not an underdog, the Cowboys are the underdog.

I do believe this is one of these games where the team cannot be carrying him for a slow start. Dak needs to show up and set the tone himself...team sport but if they are going to give him the ball to start the game we cannot afford a 3 and out and possession given up at halftime.
