This same front office left Garrett as Head Coach for a decade. Not saying Dak is/isn't good, just pointing out that "being in your role for x number of years with the Cowboys" may not be the testament you think it is.
Players don’t last that long unless they’re productive. Big difference between players and coaches.

Or it could be the simple fact that Jerry won't bring in a suitable backup capable of competing for the starting job, leaving them no choice but to start Dak.... Jerry doesn't want to hurt Dak's feelings
Riiiiiiiiiight…

Had Derek Carr stayed with the Raiders, he'd be #1 right now.

NFL or NFC? We're still making up garbage for Dak propping, I see.
Longest QB tenure with current team as an NFL starter____
Prescott w/Cowboys - 7 seasons (2016)
3 players with 5 seasons (2018)
Josh Allen w/Bills
Kirk Cousins/Vikings
Patrick Mahomes w/Chiefs

Well, Garrett was the longest tenured coach at one point as well.
True,
Pretty much one in the same.
Good point.
Incorrect.
Jason Garrett became HC midway through the 2010 season.
Pete Carroll became HC of the Seahawks at the beginning of 2010;
so he was - and still is - the longest-tentured NFC head coach currently with one team.
And of course, Bill Belichick is the longest-tenured HC with one team currently in the NFL - 23 seasons and counting.

But...but...but Romo went longer!
You say you love Romo but you're constantly taking shots at him. No one brought up Romo but you.

You need to bring up Romo to deflect any criticism of Prescott. It's your MO.

P.S. Don't say Romo has started 11years, four more than Prescott. Use the games started stat instead. Romo started 127, Prescott 97. That's 30 more games or about 1.75 seasons more.

Heading into the 2023 season, Prescott needs only 30 starts to tie Romo.
Tony Romo___ 162 games (regular season + playoffs) - 133 QB starts
Dak Prescott___103 games (rs + ps) - 103 QB starts
Wow, cool info @Motorola ! 2 more full seasons, Dak will surpass Romo in games started for the Cowboys. I wonder which QB has the most tenured starts in Cowboys history?

I'm not taking any shots at Romo. I'm simply stating facts. If it bothered you that I brought up Romo, sorry. It's good to make the comparison.
