Was he "under"(as in Propofol) or was he just sedated (as in Midazolam)?

It was of his brother who committed suicide and a Pegasus to honor his mother who has passed away.
I'm not sure how this considered to be bad.

And for the record both CeeDee and Pollard had tats under anesthesia, though not as long of period.
Anything our players do on their personal time draws this kind of reaction. Remember when Romo played golf, or wore his hat backward, or dated Jessica Simpson, or went to Cabo (with other players).

Fans have issues.

May as well. We’ve seen Cabo, hat turned backwards, girlfriend, and golf blamed on the previous guys lack of playoff sucess.

tough being Americas Qb under the constant microscope
Whoops. You beat me to the punch. I think some are just always looking for reasons to criticize the QB. It isn't unique to Dak in this social media age. No telling what fans would say these days about Staubach and Aikman. Since Staubach won a Super Bowl the year he was inserted as the starter, he probably would have earned some grace. Aikman would have gotten roasted after the 1-15 season.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was shocked to learn of the procedure.

“I certainly didn’t know he was under for 10 hours,” Jones said. “Just so you’re clear, I had no idea about tattoos. I better get up to date on it. I had no idea that required that kind of sedation of any tattoo. It further explains to me why I don’t have a tattoo.”

Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy acknowledged being surprised that his quarterback went under for 11 hours, but McCarthy said that when Prescott explained to him that the sedation was supervised by medical professionals, he accepted it.

“He’s extremely conscientious and he had a lot of people there,” McCarthy said. “It wasn’t like just one guy, him and the tattoo guy. It looked like a professional operation.”

why didn't he inform the head coach and Jerry?
this pisses me off.
You have to think of the team and coaches and owners.
To be fair Jerry didn't tell Dak about Trey Lance.

People covered in thousands of dollars of tattoos are of similar mentality to the e-thot. The level of self-obsession and deeply seeded insecurity these people must feel is difficult to imagine.
I think the word you're looking for is "narcissism".
IMO, once your tattoos begins to creep onto your face and into your eyes, you've pretty much given up on life.

Articles don't say, but it was done in a medical professional setting.

This is becoming quite the fad among celebrities and young rich.

I'm not qualified to put Dak on the couch, but...tattoos aren't going to cover over interceptions.

Dak puts too much stock in his faith and will power. For sure those things help but...he over-indexes

Actually Jerry is wild about getting a lot of ink done, because he is going to get the top of his head tattooed to look like he has Jerry curls there. With the onset of global warming wearing his toupee has become unbearable and it looks like a chunk of jagged gray Astro-Turf.

Whatever a tattoo "means", I think everyone can agree it's meant to reinforce some idea to onself, a permanent marker (scar) that is meant to remind oneself of some memory, promise, idea, notion, grievance - and perhaps communicate that to others.

In other words, it's therapy. Mental therapy. I'm not saying it's good or bad, because all known examples of both.

This feels...bad.
May Dak's immune system not retaliate one day permanently welting the skin on the front of his tattooed leg to look like a middle finger.

Personally, I never got a tattoo. My daughters have some. I never found anything in my lifetime significant enough to want to put on my body permanently. And I was in the military not even my company logo.

Like he's trying to mentally reinforce something or bury some pain through life-threatening tattoo procedures. My boy owns 2 tattoo shops so I get it, but...what he put at risk and seems to be continuing to put at risk for tats...I dunno...
It’s like Aaron Rodgers doing acid. I don’t think either one was appropriate for mental stability.

G.I., government issue. You’re not allowed to tamper with your body in any way shape or form.
Just putting this out there for people who might not know. What GI means.
NFL, not for long if you continue this type of action. Lol.

I read it...

"I ain't afraid of nothing"... then why did you require sedation?

I just got a tattoo while I was in Thailand. 8 hours straight, no sedation. And I am by no means a "tough guy". It's literally just a bunch of little scratches. Not a fun time but certainly not requiring sedation. If you need to be sedated for that you need to shred your man card.
