Dak Prescott knows “People are gonna think it’s crazy” he was sedated 11 hours for a tattoo

Ok

I read it...

"I ain't afraid of nothing"... then why did you require sedation?

I just got a tattoo while I was in Thailand. 8 hours straight, no sedation. And I am by no means a "tough guy". It's literally just a bunch of little scratches. Not a fun time but certainly not requiring sedation. If you need to be sedated for that you need to shred your man card.

I buy 100% of this. So you want the scar, but not the pain? Isn't the whole point of voluntary scarring that you carry the discomfort it took to get it?

This is why I think Dak has his head in the sand a bit and over-indexes on symbolic gestures and his personal creed. He tells himself that he's confident and "it will happen", but then he meets up against expectations and falls short. Is this his way of immunizing himself against pain? I'm not a pro-athlete so I'm going to stay in my lane, but I also don't remember Joe Montana, Roger Staubach, Troy Aikman or Tom Brady needing body tats to throw dimes on Sunday.

So whatever this is for, it must be related to a personal struggle. Because as regards football, it's not gonna help one bit. He's had some personal tragedies in his family - who hasn't? - so I'm sure he's got plenty of pain to bury.

This reminds me of people that buy a pre "distressed" or "relic" guitar. The manufacturer wears it down making it look very used. They get the look without the pain.

I'm going to stay in my lane, proceeds to clearly leave his lane and drive head on into oncoming traffic.

Here is a newsflash. It's Dak's, CeeDee's and Pollard's life and whomever else who chooses to get a tattoo let it go bro.

It's ironic that the artist threw that ink at Dak's legs. I bet he throws it behind his back next time.

Did Dak pull a Jason Terry by getting a tattoo of a championship (Lombardi in Dak’s case) trophy?

It worked for Jason Terry and the Mavericks.

Captain Obvious comes in to add the ...obvious.

Actually, it's not "their life". As Jones pointed out RIGHTLY, if his $160 investment is undergoing potentially life-threatening operations, that could invalidate part of his contract or activate a NFI (Non-Football Injury) clause. So, no ...this is not the same as commenting on Dak's dental care or his choice of hair color.

You see...you were the one who was out of pocket swerving all in people's business without full command of the argument.

He is a human being, he has a life.

There was nothing in contract barring this or requirement to tell Jerry or anyone anything, Jerry's concern aside. He is much more than an "investment".

Do you even know what you sound like? Seriously, do you?

Players are human beings, not investments. An investment can be made in them, but they are not an asset to be bought and sold.

I noticed a theme with all the QBs you point out who didn't have tattoos. And one with whom you didn't mention.

You clearly have some issues in your life that if as a fan you feel the need to make the comments you have about another grown man paying his money to get tattoos, especially ones that were done to honor dead family members.

Y'all take this fan stuff way to far.

In spite of your objections, the fact is that JJ has made an investment into Dak as a professional athlete and as such if Dak is to go under sedation for a tattoo in excess of 10 hours then perhaps JJ & Co. should have been informed.

My only question: why did he tattoo Jerrah's face onto his back?

And despite yours, clearly no contractual obligation to do so.

Also, the way you worded that is appreciated

We can talk about how much of a nothingburger this is, but you don't hear stories like this about the best of the best during the offseasons.
