so anyone know how much per year?
The math is 60 per year, but unless you see the contract those average per year stats mean absolutely nothing.
A financial guy would say the only thing that matters is the cap hit in each of the next 5 years, how you can manage and restructure it, and how you can get out of it.

A football guy would say, you have a good, young team trying to improve its defense and OL to compete in the playoffs, and they have a very good QB to give them a chance.

The owner would say, among lots of other goofy things, we had to sign our QB not only to keep hope alive, but to have any chance of signing a top coach if we decide to go that way.

So my question is, did Cowboys zone just get 2 less posters? they said they'd leave if this move was made. Asking for a friend.

Last season, Prescott set career highs in completions (410) and touchdowns (36), throwing for 4,516 yards with only nine interceptions. He led Dallas to a 12-5 record...and no matter what you say, I'm not going to believe those two sea gulls stole the last two beers.
You like participation trophies . I get it , the rest of us don't like those. You moral victorious , you! :lmao:

This was always going to happen, they left themselves with no options. The big mistake was the no-trade clause in his last contract, if they ever thought they wanted to move on from him. It painted them into a corner. The move to trade for Lance as leverage didn't exactly work either. But, given their options, there wasn't really another choice. Dak gives them at least a chance at relevancy and the playoffs every year. Otherwise, they would be living in a 5-12 hellhole every year with mediocre to bad QB play for YEARS until they found another QB. That might have taken 3-4 straight 1st round picks (because most QBs bust anyway) and pillaging the future of their roster, then another 4-5 years to build the roster back up around their new QB. It is what it is, and now we move on.

Cowboy football really is addicting. I've been hooked on it for 46 years. And I wish it was longer.

It’s pretty easy to see Dak is better. He’s 32 games over 500 in the regular season, while Cousins is only 9 games over 500. Dak has more division titles and playoff wins. He has a higher career passer rating than Cousins. Cousins never got a contract extension from his original team and was allowed to walk, while Dak has just gotten his second big extension from his original team. Cousins is playing on his third team and they have so little confidence in him they used a top 10 pick on a QB. Not wasting anymore time with this. Dak has been extended and some of you need to get over it
Splitting hairs. They both suck STILL. Don't care how many extensions they get. LOL!!

3.5 million a game.

Let that sink in.
Big deal…..Lamb was sitting out on strike as a WR because 1 million per week wasn’t enough. What’s he making per game now?
More importantly, what’s Jerry making this year…..lol

LFGGGGG! I'm too old to endure sorry QB play. I don't have to pay the bill either. Can't win the SB if you don't make the playoffs and this QB at least gets us to the playoffs.

Unfortunately this is what have you done for me lately league and Purdy has had more playoff success than Dak even if his team is loaded or has a better coach. Agents don’t look at that. They see this I what my client has done for you guys and wants to be paid accordingly. Now he could pull a Brady but there are not a lot of guys out that have super models wives that make more than them.
Sorry that's not how it works,

you got to look at individuals , not team records, team failures, or even the good things about the team,

that's not how contracts work,

I'm sorry if you can't see through the mess but not a lot of players on the NFL teams especially quarterbacks making money over $55 million and they have had no playoff success either that's a bunch of nonsense you got like guys like kyler Murray that hasn't done anything in this league even Justin Herbert that just got record deals that's how it worked it's called the market has nothing to do with team success or team failures because we could all break that down and we already have so that matters to you but you don't matter in the grand scheme of things because you don't own an NFL team, you're not a GM ,and you're not the player

, show me the top 10 list of highest paid quarterbacks in the league and let's break down their playoff success or lack thereof?

I don't need to because why did lamb get his record deal? how did Justin Jefferson get paid and he's done nothing in the playoffs ??? how did Kirk cousins coming off an injury it hasn't done anything at all in the playoffs get what he got in Atlanta that was a dumb deal in the 1st place, they should have just went young but they paid the guy that is what we call the market for NFL quarterbacks but all these other skill players how are they earning their money because they're not helping their team?

there's an awful lot of skill players making an awful lot of money in this league, they haven't done anything to help their teams in the playoffs they're not elevating their teams to anything special... Do you need to learn to separate individual success, just looking at stats, and what they've done for their team and Prescott has done a lot in order to earn a top five to top ten spot in this league so he's paid accordingly. Another team would have paid him this there have been at least four teams bidding for his services this offseason maybe more that's what they're looking at not what the playoff failures look like.

your feelings don't matter all that matters is the ownership and the player decided this was best for the team ...

you don't like it, you can move o,n all these people threatening to move is like these other people who threaten to leave the country if it they don't get the people they want you know what Canada's, really close but so is rooting for another team, if you like the 49ers go root for them ,

Purdy ha not earned what Prescott has earned just because his team make it to a Super Bowl and ours didn't, that's not how it works that is a team thing ,and our team absolutely imploded in the Green Bay game, and it had nothing to do with Prescott alone...

A football guy would say we cannot afford anyone to improve that defense

I’m a lot more relevant than you’ll ever be and look no further than my posting history.
That proves to some you are entertaining...nothing about football beyond similar bias.
