I am on record saying a REAL GM would have told him you are sitting or accepting a trade. This was the year to move up for a QB.

Yet what we got was a GM who didnt know where we were cap wise and made a statement saying we were "all-in" who then waited until the last week of the off-season to hand out record breaking contracts to our WR1 and QB1 then saying they couldnt afford a Derrick Henry.

What some here are still failing to understand is this simple fact.

The problem ISNT THE QB or the OL or the LB or whatever else you want to say the problem is.

The problem has been and will always be above the field. In the owners suite. Not on the field.

Dak is a PART of the problem. The main PROBLEM is Jerry and the FO. Always has been.

They didnt win with Romo either. They refuse to invest in the QB position. Last first round pick on a QB was Aikman.

I have a feeling Dak's deal was done very early in training camp. Jerry being Jerry, he probably held off making an announcement in order to keep the team in the news. Then tried to steal headlines by making the announcement on opening day.

I thought about that, but if his deal was done early he had no reason to hold out. Dak was on record laughing about how he wouldn't hold out because he didn't want to pay the fines. It was like he knew his deal was already done but didn't (or couldn't, on orders from the Emperor) say anything about it.

Protection wasn't great, but it wasn't bad either,
I'll say this.
There were couple of passes that should have been caught, especially that pass to Tolbert in the third qtr, I think Tolbert lost the ball in the sun. The game was already lopsided by that time, tho.
On the other hand, if Dak would thrown some of his passes with a little more zip, they would have been caught.

But that INT in the end-zone was inexcusable....even though CeeDee did nothing to prevent it. CeeDee must have known the pass was under-thrown.
Hard to say if CeeDee could have done anything about it....I'm just make an observation......

the one in the end zone was inexcusable...there were receivers that were open in end zone but not the one Dak through too

The fact that they signed him on opening day. What a joke this owner is. Now it's another what 5 years of this? Just laughable when they had a golden opportunity to cut their losses. The team sucks and the 60 million dollar QB isn't helping.
