There is no legitimate case to be made that Hurts had a really good year and certainly for all our *****ing about Dak, Prescott had a much better 2023 season.

It’s not 10 because their offense didn’t put them in the position to do so, that’s why Jalen has not just more short yardage passing/rushing TDs, but total TDs than almost every other QB. He put them there more often. A lot of that is the personnel, yes, but that’s the same for every QB. Everything Burrow has done has been with the best trio of receivers the league has seen in a while. Dak has been better and better as CeeDee has gotten better and better. Matt Ryan won an MVP that most certainly wouldn’t have happened without Julio.

We can theorize what they’d be in different situations, but we can only verify what they are when they’re where they are right now.

I think Dak is a VERY good QB in the regular season but he can get confused by defenses and goes into a shell when that happens. As a result he has real issues playing consistently good football for a 3-4 game stretch against the top teams and that is what you need to win a SB
I have no doubt we can win 10-11 games with Dak but we cannot win a SB with him. Thats why i dont think hes worth even 50 million (let alone 60) and thats why i want to move on from him

That's more evidence of what I said. NO ONE would rank Hurts at 15 after last season unless there is some sort of ulterior motive.
I don't pretend to know what it is, but I know it isn't right. He seems like a great guy, but not 15th best in the NFL.
There has to be a reason behind it.

Those stats only hold up if you completely ignore the fact that he is a true dual threat QB. This here is how you would evaluate the blonde haired, blue eyed QBs of the past who ran a 6 second 40.

If a RB “A” runs for 1600 yards and catches 200 yards,

And then RB “B” runs for 1300 yards and catches 1000…

RB A is the better RB right? Because RB B only had 1300 yards. He’s not a receiver, he’s a RB.

Jalen hurts had SIX HUNDRED rushing yards last year. Plays where he made a conscious effort to expose the defense and pick up yards that would have otherwise necessitated a throwaway or a pass into coverage. The only argument to why that should be ignored when evaluating a QB’s ability to drive the offense down the field would be that another QB is physically incapable of doing that so it would be inconvenient to use it against him. In the same way Derrick Henry and Marshall Faulk are not the same type of player, Dak Prescott and Jalen Hurts are not the same type of player.

Rushing yards are a quarterback stat. So are rushing TDs.
