The playcalling was pretty sloppy with no real feel, too. Frustrating.
How so? I'm of the mind it was of an unexpected twist,, ( other than that first-n-goal at the 3 yard line/ pass 3x's) and enjoyed the spiced up flavor,,, but I guess if all you ever eat is boiled unsalted taters,,, you'd get fuzzed up tooo_O

I was in the chat during the game. :D

The Game threads simply move too fast for me to keep up.
Man! I skipped 75% of the pages,,, it is and it isn't, fun to try and watch the game ,,all the while trying to outswim the never ending Avalanche of posts trying to even keep up with @Clove doing his thingo_O
I'm sure you know what I'm angling at,,, but I guess that's all on me for not being able to handle the rapid influx of fun I so truly am a junkie of:D

Dak was one of the most accurate qbs last season. Just stop it lol

I even mentioned that someone would bring that up in my post which tells me you failed to read the entire post and also missed the part where I credited him as being the right fit for what the team wants to do... there have been some QB gurus even point out his poor ball placement. He is very cautious with the ball and throws short routes to move the chains. If anyone believes his ball placement is good, they need their eyes checked. Even Dak knows it isn't good, as he was constantly pointing at himself all night.

It is what it is. He's a great fit for the team just like Wilson is a great fit in Seattle. The way these teams are constructed, they need QB's with those skill sets to move the ball with their legs. The comparisons to Brady are ridiculous though.

It was ugly but we won, Dak will get better. Wanted more Beasely and Zeke in the game.
Gonna be a good week.

I do find it interesting everyone is talking about everybody else besides Zeke.

They said they were going to get him more involved in the passing game, 5 catches last night was a career high for Zeke in Dallas.

I look for more of that to happen this season. Him not staying in to block as much probably didn't give Dak as much time for reads, but Zeke was there for the dump off.

I agree. Zeke put up 100 on the ground vs a tough defense he was grinding out some tough yards. Was glad to see him more involved in the pass game as well

T-Will was amazing. I had no idea how much pain he was in. Did you see him limping afterwards? Butler hurt his ankle too. Hopefully they're both fine.

I always love to see Twill involved. If he plays big we're just too much to stop. Too many weapons. Big catch by Butler also even though he had an on target drop which led to a stalled drive. We should have blew these guys off but the giants do have a good defense.

Played a hell of a game. Secured the ball. Made tight throws. Played what was given to him against a top-5 D.

19-3. Last year people were jumping off the ledge after the Minnesota game, let alone the two Giants games. We just tonka-smashed a great D.

A Dez drop and a Butler drop lowered his stats, but his stats were still on par with QBs such as Rodgers, today. Even better.

Yes, the Giants O is pathetic, but our Dak is not playing against the Giants O. It's their $200 mil D he's playing against.

Our O was amazing, all things considered (without getting into how badarse our D was) . But lookout, Dak made no major mistakes tonight, and this was a good D squad we beat.

G'un be a nice season. And Dak is gonna lead the way. These "ledge" threads and "Dak played bad" threads are hogwash. Pure hogwash (without going after their OPs).

You gained a lot of likes on that one.

Great post brother. To put it into further details, here's his 3 passer ratings vs. Giants: 69.4, 45.4 in both games in 2016 and 90.5 last night. He's improving before our eyes. We are in great shape with Captain Dak. :)

Loved dak last year & still think he is the future. That being said, I thought he was ok last night. Not great not bad but ok. That was enough to get it done. Most importantly he didn't blow it by turning it over.

Giants defense is legit...they allowed an average of 17 points per game last season so I think the type of game you saw yesterday was almost as good as it gets from an offense. When they brought in Harrison and Jenkins, those are two guys who can transform an entire defense as Harrison appears to be one of the better run-stuffing DTs in the league and Jenkins can handle single coverage on WRs.

The key is to attack their other DBs and that's what they did with Butler and Williams for some key conversions. When the Giants played the Packers twice in 2016, GB has multiple WR threats besides Jordy Nelson so Davante Adams/Cobb went off for big games.

In terms of protecting the ball and doing what he needed to, Dak delivered.

However, it was clear he was rusty from the lack of preseason work. His footwork wasn't great, and the accuracy suffered for it. He overthrew a free TD to Dez in the end zone, had several other balls sail on him, and so forth.

I have no doubt he'll get it under control, but he definitely didn't play a perfect game. Just a solid one.

Exactly. I saw idiots out there saying he played a terrible game. No idea what they were watching. You want to see a terrible game, go watch Dalton or Tolzien. Dak had a TD and no picks. Didn't hurt his team. Giants defense is legit. Even Harrison and Dungy were saying this could be better than the defense that won them the 2007 Super Bowl. People are so wrapped up with Madden and fantasy football that if a QB doesn't put up 400 yds and 4 TDs, he didn't have a good game. Dak was off on some throws but that was how most the QBs were across the league. It's week 1 and most starters these days hardly play preseason.

I am very pleased with what Dak did last night.
