Romo has literally said almost this exact same thing. It was in response to feeding TO balls back in 07 or 08. I'll try to track down the quote.

EDIT: My first google result, at the end:

http://www.espn.com/espnmag/story?id=3641291

"I just throw to the guy who's open." -TONY ROMO

Not even what I'm talking about.

It's DAK saying we can and will win no matter if Dez is available or not. It's the statement about winning I like.

You are commenting on something I wasn't referring to.

But glad you found your quote.

Nice work.

Regarding Dez injury.

"I don't really pay attention to who I'm throwing to," said Prescott, who has connected with Bryant 11 times for 150 yards and a touchdown this season. "I just go through my reads, whoever's open gets the ball. So I mean hope gets well, is well really, really soon, but it doesn't really affect this offense."

Dak will still get it done this weekend.

all he means is he is running the offense and playing the game, and not singling out Dez as his primary.

BS Dak has to be the leader and Dez needs grown the frick up. Players on this team need to start holding each other accountable. Dak is there doing his job leading this offense dez is screwing around and has done little since he got the big contract. he wanted to be paid as the top WR well needs to start acting like it. Dak does not need to pacify some child, if Dez is not out there well Dak job is still to go out and perform and get the job done.
dez hasnt done anything really since 2014, and not much for dak, until the td play and some others in that 3rd game.
So dak doesnt rely on Dez, I think he likes witten and dez, both hard workers and more serious about work, but he will go with
whoever is out there, and think he can win the game.

I don't get why people think San Francisco is a pushover team. They just got beat by two of the top 5 best teams in the league in the Seahawks and Panthers. They will play us tough.
i know, every game we play will be tough.
Better to wait till after they play to say they are bad or easy.

SF supposedly has a good defense , and if they can run and do run alot we could be in trouble.
But ol chip is a goofy guy, no telling what he will do, still running the hurry up.
Main thing is that dallas win, somehow some way.

Romo also hated TO. I doubt Dak hates Dez. Strictly business.

I don't think Romo hated TO, but I do think TO was way more selfish than Dez. I think Dez truly does care only about winning. It's hard to fault a guy for that even if his head isn't always in the right place.

Agreed, it feels like Dak was being a leader and sending a message at the same time.

I hope you're right.

No Dez means tighter coverage everywhere else. Dak might force some throws this game = turnovers.

Hyde going for 100+ is a given. The entire defense is going to be gassed if they have to play 70 plays. We don't have the depth for that.

Don't you recall Rods games against Chip's Eagles? Rod has countered that offense well.

Of course it doesn't really affect Dak or the offense now. With Romo, this season would have already been shot. Since Dak is now here, this offense will not miss a beat this weekend.

As I mentioned in another post, you will see how completely wasted nearly $35 million dollars of cap space is when there is zero dropoff in offense production. Remember this post.

Now, if the Cowboys management is smart, they will take note of this and make appropriate moves this offseason to really man up the defense and continue building the OL. Will this happen though? Time will tell
Gosh I really hate being right all the time.
