Dak could not be any more different than Dez. I'll bet he's already sick of him.
I'm sure he didn't mind him scoring his first TD for him. Beasley sure doesn't score there, doubt TWill does either

He's being naive if he doesn't think Dez being on the field has an affect on the coverage he must read.

But, his statement about who gets the ball is exactly what Romo has been saying for years. Prescott not forcing the ball to someone is a very good thing.
not really. does it affect his reads? sure. will it change who he throws to? only if dez isn't there or not open.

Key for the Cowboys with or without Dez in the lineup is to continue to run the ball and control the down and distance. If Cowboys can do that they can continue to use the play action and allow Dak to find the underneath routs and or run to pick up 1st down to move the chains and score.

Wow. This dude is looking like a once-in-a-lifetime pick. His demeanor is absolutely amazing. But Dez is a Top 10 player at his position. Maybe the offense doesn't use him as such but he is a weapon. He should show him that respect and I didn't see the respect in the quote. He's got to learn to compliment his teammates or he could run the risk of not being viewed as a team guy.

The second half of this post..100% spot on.

This is the second time now he's come out and said something like this already and he needs to choose his words a bit more carefully imo. I get that hes just trying to be politically correct and say he just tries to hit who's open but acting like your star wr isn't a big part of your offense is bordering on disrespectful.

Need to get those media clichés on point, Dak. It goes something like..

"Well, Dez is a great player and a huge piece of our offense, but if he can't go we have some other very talented guys who will step up and get the job done."

BS Dak has to be the leader and Dez needs grown the frick up. Players on this team need to start holding each other accountable. Dak is there doing his job leading this offense dez is screwing around and has done little since he got the big contract. he wanted to be paid as the top WR well needs to start acting like it. Dak does not need to pacify some child, if Dez is not out there well Dak job is still to go out and perform and get the job done.

Mollywhopped!! I like that one. Agreed, lt may not be so easy. Kelly's team just doesn't look that good to me. They will have something to prove.

No, your right...they haven't looked good. But if the Cowboys don't put this team away early and let's them hang around it could ugly for the Cowboys. They need to attack the 49ers similar to how they attacked the Bears and then keep piling on points to take the fight out of them and that stadium.

Carlos Hyde may run for 200 against this defense. He had 67 yards in the fourth quarter against Seattle. We may be able to win this game because I think Elliot can do the same and we have a better QB, but Hyde is going to make this run defense looked like a certain kind of cheese with holes in it.
Agreed. Hyde is a big threat to the Defense and yes the Cowboy offense should be able to answer back. I still like the Cowboys in this one. The coaches know Kelly's oddball offense and, in spite of Hyde outstanding play, the 49ers simply have not played well under Kelly as a team.

He's mentioned before about having a faceless offense and taking whatever the defense gives you and it's the wrong approach. You have to know your personnel and how to best maximize it.
There is something off with some of you guys who think you can educate an NFL player about how to play the quarterback position. Your delusional!

I'm not throwing red zone jump balls to Beasley...like I would Dez. In fact I'm trying not to throw high balls to Beaz, ever.
On a go route, I'm not leading Witten nearly as much I would Butler...or even the mailman for that matter
etc

He continues to blow me away. I know I'm just saying the same thing as everyone else and he's only played 3 games but it feels good that they got somebody to give us hope for a change. The whole Romo thing has drained all of us because of his injury history and zero chance of this team having any success if he's not playing. Isn't nice for a change to have some faith in our team without Romo? With or without Dez, Dak has a good shot of beating San Francisco on Sunday

In terms of confidence? Or in terms of how he would handle the question? Or what?
Romo would answer it very differently.

Romo tends to go diplomatic in his answers.

He never predicts results and goes out of his way to not use bulletin board answers.

DAK is blunt.

I like that.

Refreshing.

Romo has literally said almost this exact same thing. It was in response to feeding TO balls back in 07 or 08. I'll try to track down the quote.

EDIT: My first google result, at the end:
