He has no time to read the defenses and can’t trust his receivers to be open. He’s been holding the ball to long hoping they will. Have you been watching the games? He hardly ever has a clean pocket.

This, as usual, is false.

You asked a dumb question because you can't read. I am not blaming Dak for penalties. That stat wasn't about the number of penalties, it was about the ability to overcome them. The Cowboys do so at the worst rate in the league. That doesn't make the QB look good.

Does it follow in your view that Dalton is the best? Or even one of the best? Or is it more reasonable to conclude that the ability to overcome offensive penalties reflects on the entire O, not just the QB?

So let me understand this........you give the line a pass for penalties and its Dak's fault he can't overcome stupid penalties? Jesus.........

Kellen Moore will right this ship .

We fired the OL coach with 30 plus years experience, but not Kellen Moore .

The first one kind of goes against Dak (2nd one too somewhat if you understand context). It means the team is one of the worst at being able to overcome penalties.

No, the penalties are causing third and long situations where conversations are less likely.

We have to do a better job with this stat. No question Dak has his issues but there are lots of variables also not helping (drop passes, 3rd and long, OL breakdown etc). Either way, I'm guessing a large part of our offensive problems are part of this stat

Of course it reflects on the entire O. And the QB is going to be a big part of that as passing will be more likely in these situations.

Do the Bengals have the best rate?

That happens to all the other teams too...and they overcome it more often.

It is important yo umderstamd the term "rate."

According to that tweet the Bengals have the best rate, yeah (23 penalties; only 7 stalled drives). And I agree the QB shoulders a big part of the credit/blame. But given that most offensive penalties are on the O-line, the penalty itself may be indicative of where else a big part of the credit/blame should fall.

That should hold true for the Bengals as well, though, and they have had more penalties than Dallas (23 to 20).

Sure. So the Bengals O-line gets a lot of credit for their conversion rate. And ours gets a lot of blame for our conversion rate.

According to who? You? Based on what? Nothing? Come on man you are better than this. Just say you don't like the guy and we can move on.

According to me and a ton of other people. Based on um...what is happening on the football field.

So you're one of those guys who does a terrible job of explaining himself so you decide to play the "You can't read" type game.........its hilarious yet, desperate.

No. You just like to make up things that people don't come anywhere close to saying.

The very very simple and obvious point is that having the lowest rate of scoring on drives with a penalty is in NO way is a defense of the QB. If anything, the stat could be used against them.

This whole thread has people questioning you and what the hell you are talking about. You bring up points without using simple logic. In your head if a TEAM sucks on 3rd down...its because of the QB. Not because the offensive line gets penalties or the play calling sucks lol.....its mind boggling.
