Not really.No. I wouldn't give Dak $30M either.
Unfortunately, the Cowboys gave him $40M.

In the OP I show PPG in games with a score difference of less than 10 to eliminate the blowout wins from padding the stats. You can't tell these clowns anything. Dak scores 50 points against the WFT and 10 against Denver but all they think is he averages 30 points a game.

It was 32 PPG for all games and 29 for the close score games...
When the facts expose you, break out the stats.
- Stats for Dak & Rush
- The stats point to Dak being a really good QB.
- The stats point to Rush being a backup QB with an elite defense.
- The Cowboys in 2021:
- 1st in points scored
- 2nd in passing yards
- 3rd in passing TDs
- 4th in Net Yards per Pass Attempt
- Team Points per Game
- Rush
- Rush starts in 2021: 20
- Rush starts in 2022: 22.7
- Dak
- Dak starts in 2021: 32
- Dak starts in 2021 close score games: 29
- Score difference of less than 10 points.
- Defensive Help in 2022 Wins
- 14.3 points per game allowed in 2022 wins
- 28.2 points per game allowed in 2021 losses
- The Cowboys in 2020 (Dak vs other Backups)
- Leading the league in passing yards at the point that Dak was injured.
- ~300 yards ahead of the 2nd place team in total yards for the 5 games with Dak.
- 32.6 points per game with Dak
- 21.1 points per game without Dak (Andy Dalton at QB)
"While Rush has done a great job in Dak’s stead, he’s not as physically gifted as Dak is, which makes these debates in here about Rush replacing the QB1 absurd."Rush has given the Cowboys one of the most important things a team could ask for, a competent backup QB who isn’t afraid of pushing the football down the field, changing plays at the line, & most of all being smart w/the football & not turning the football over. While Rush has done a great job in Dak’s stead, he’s not as physically gifted as Dak is, which makes these debates in here about Rush replacing the QB1 absurd.
Jimmy is effective because that San Fran defense ain’t no joke.Agreed but hypothetically Cooper Rush manages to help Dallas beat the Rams and Philly thereby making him 6-0 as a starter; Dak comes back and plays the rest of the season. Rush just positioned himself out of Dallas as you know how teams sometimes reach for a starter at QB (look at Jimmy G.).
You didn't post any actual facts, just your random feelings about what happened. When the facts expose you, break out the stats.
Stats can be made to show any perspective you want.
I'm still waiting on the stats that explain Dak losing the East to the Eagles 3rd stringers. Or the stats that justify Dak throwing the ball into the ground on 4th down. Or the stats that justify Dak choking until the games are out of reach, then padding his stats with passing yards against loose defenses.
A lie is still a lie, even if it's backed up with stats. The facts, however, are the same.
We've all seen the facts. We've seen it played out on the field. You didn't post any actual facts, just your random feelings about what happened.
Let me ask you (and others ) this.......would you give Cooper $30M today as your starter? $30M is 2022 franchise value for QBs which is likely the floor for the starters.
Nobody is paying Rush 30 million. All Rush has proven is Dak is a big part of the problem in this offense and that this team doesn't have a high caliber QB on this roster that can make all the throws. At this point Dak isn't even a bus driver anymore. He's trying to play like Mahomes when he should be playing like Rush.Let me ask you (and others ) this.......would you give Cooper $30M today as your starter? $30M is 2022 franchise value for QBs which is likely the floor for the starters.
