This season, I expected him to play like a top 5 QB if he wanted to get paid like a top 5 QB. You can color it any way you want but thats what it comes down to. He didn't do that so here we are. We aren't talking about the Defense. Yes, we had a Defense that played up and down but guess what, we had an Offense that did that too. Last week, the D played good enough to win. The O game the game away and specifically, the play of Prescott. Like it or not, that's what happened. We didn't lose on calls. You can make that point for the Saints, they earned it. They played well enough to go to the NFC Championship game and get screwed. Us, we played well enough to be a .500 team in the sorriest division in pro football. Don't tell me about how the Refs screwed us. You gotta play well enough to begin with in order to have that conversation and we haven't.
I'm not talking to you about everybody. I'm responsible for what I say and everything I've said, I can defend because it's true. Some here believe whatever. Ask me what I believe and I will tell you. Dak is not top 10, he's not top 5, his somewhere in the middle. He doesn't deserve 30 IMO put he will likely get it. He absolutely lost the game last week. You can say he was too injured to play but if that's the case, then sit your arse down and let somebody who can throw a ball 10 yards with accuracy play. If you can't do that, then the writing is on the wall. You talk about team but being part of a team is know when you are a bigger part of the problem then you are the solution as well.
Our passing game is not predicated on the run or vise versa. That's not true at all, or at least it shouldn't be if you are doing it right. Our passing game and run game complement each other. The fact that Dak could not hit guys with any amount of accuracy at any level is why the run game didn't work. The Eagles have the crappiest secondary in the league. They are horrible and they actually showed it last week. What they can do is they can stop the run and play physical at the point of attack, which is the only way they could beat us last week. They played a lot of man to man and brought up help. They played close to the LOS and said, "Zeke, you ain't beating us." They basically challenged Dak and the WRs to beat them and you know what, the WRs did beat them. Dak didn't get it done. He missed at least three wide open TDs in that game. I didn't see one accurate throw from him, even with the throws that he completed. I'm not hating on him, I'm just telling it like it is. You say that Zeke only ran for x amount of yards in however many games but I'm telling you right now, one hand washes the other. If teams are shutting Zeke out, then the passes are there, you just have to hit them. A good QB should not be using that as excuse, a good QB should be licking his chops to see that because it means that you are going to have a big passing day. You should be able to win the majority of those games. Why weren't we able to do that more? Humm.......
