I never claimed you did. There’s many on this board and amongst Cowboys Nation that believe he’s a bad QB or at least that’s what they post. Just look around this board. You can’t possibly say you haven’t seen any of it. It’s been going on for years. Some go as far as to say he sucks.
yeah, guess so but I think it's out of frustration and annual failure in big games. Let's face it, the prospect of seeing him play for this team for another 4 years doesn't exactly tickle my fandom fancy. If he had gotten through 1 or 2 big games last year the taste for more Dak could have been made...it's not even like we brought in personnel to help matters, all it did was make things worse. Hence, the doom and gloom of this offseason has hit an all-time low

Does anybody think he would say “…this is the worst I have ever felt and I am in terrible shape…” ?

Add in the contract situation. Of course he would say this.

I would like to take Jane out for a steak dinner.
I find it hilarious so many on here getting bent out of shape because Dak uses the sam clichés that nearly everything athlete uses before a season kicks off..or when in the middle of contract negotiations. They all act like these statements are unique to to him and then get all upset because he is saying generic phrases when asked questions. They act all incredulous to the fact that he is expected to do these interviews and responds like all the other QBs in the league.

Don’t wager the farm on it. Him just getting his team to the playoffs consistently, is going to cause a meltdown amongst Cowboys Nation if we’re still struggling to find his successor and we’re missing the playoffs every year because of it.
This notion we can't win with anyone but Dak is ridiculous.

It's almost like some people pray for it.

The Joneses want to re-sign him but he might prefer testing for agency. He might not want to play here anymore.
If he's smart ... our history since the 1990s shows the best chance of winning a Super Bowl is going somewhere else. Romo should have done it. The advantage for a QB is the possibility of finding a team that has all the other pieces in place to get the job done. It certainly worked out that way for Stafford, although his was a trade.

He should feel the best he’s ever felt entering camp. He’s going to end up the highest paid QB in the league by at least March of next year, whether it’s in Dallas or somewhere else.
Somewhere else, but you are right. He knows a lotto ticket is waiting even though he's already mega-rich. I don't blame him for feeling good. Get that money...

How do Dan fans continue to eat this stuff up?
Wears the Star. They are loyal to a fault. You called Dak along time ago but to me it's still the Quincy lovers that I judge as the absolute WORST. Those guys went down with that dude. At least Dak won regular season games...at the end Quincy, Romo, Dak...Same guy. Regular season doesn't matter to me.

"Best shape of my life".....

What a joke this guy has become. Please leave already.
you can't be this sensitive to anything any athlete says. what did you expect? "I am in the worst shape I have ever been!!?" you all are just way way way too sensitive to anything these days.

Dak wants the perception by fans to be, that it's out of his control. What a load of crap! It's his career, he should take control of it by demanding his agent take a deal similar to the one Tua just agreed to in Miami.
why? what is your reasoning behind that? I am not advocating for him to get more or less or anything.

but why as an athlete should I take less if I can take more?

I don't think Dak is about playing games, and think he for sure wants to be here. At the same time, he wants his money, which I have no issues with. I just don't want to have to be forced to watch him under center come big games.....
You don't have to watch. Who is forcing you?
