Thats all Dak threw for in the regular. Very impressive for a rookie QB. He has alot to work on, but he was exceptional at taking care of the ball

Agreed he has played exceptional but

1. Next year teams will have a lot of film on his tendencies so he needs to work to break those tendencies NOW. Look at his own tape and see what he does usually and work to change it up to stay a step ahead of defences

2. He had to work on his fumbles

3. He had to work in his internal clock 1,2,3 ball had to be out

4. Learn to read defences better to anticipate throws

5. Setting his feet when making throws again and again so it becomes second nature

Lots of homework

He is a self starter. I have a feeling he will go into OTA's a much more sound QB

The Cowboys won 13 games with a mediocre defense and all of their receivers have limitations. The QB must have been quite good.

If you don't ever take a chance, you probably won't throw an interception... and NFL QBs are taking fewer and fewer chances. An amazing 5 of the top 15 low interception seasons in the history of the NFL happened in 2016.

If Dak didn't improve one bit and came into this season as he did this last season.....we'll be a playoff team.

4 INT's is a little deceptive. I counted AT LEAST that many easy INT's that defenders dropped. But most stats are never as good as they seem. I do know that I'm excited for our future with this kid and I have no doubt that he's going to get better.....

Dak will only get better, anywhere close to 4 interceptions is excellent during the season.

Dak needs film study, to continue to work on everything but he has the discipline and desire to do so.

I expect him to continue to develop and refine his skills and abilities!

This goes with #3 and may be something you can not teach but he needs a better feel for the rush.

However, if he gets the ball out quicker, it may take care of the matter.

Nice list, he needs work on all of the above but I love his game already, he will only get better!

It was a very, very good start.

I don't believe it was an anomaly, either.

Dak Prescott was very good at protecting the football at Mississippi State and did an even better job as a rookie with the Dallas Cowboys.

Yes, some potential interceptions were dropped, but the same goes for some long strikes and TDs. That's football.

I'm still grinding on the Terrance Williams drop against the Green Bay Packers.

Dak will probably have more interceptions next season for a variety of reasons, many of which have already come up in this thread.

I will still be expecting him to take care of the football, it's part of his make-up as a player.

And I hope the sophomore signal caller continues to improve in every aspect of the game in 2017. Pre-snap reads, when to audible out of a call or stick with it, making reads, pocket mechanics, when to take shots down the field, when to run, etc.

Dak set the bar so high for himself in 2016 he's going to have a tough time improving on what he did which leaves the possibility for a sophomore slump. Can't imagine he'll only throw 4 INT's next season. He'll be going down the field more next season which could lead to less consistency than we saw this season.

Yeah those gour could have been 6 or 7, still great numbers. Our receivers dropped a few passes too. The biggest was Butlers last week. Stuff happens. I gotta let it go. Lol

1. Because we all know those teams coming up on the schedule did not have any film on his tendencies this season.

2. Agreed, but this is more being a rookie than his shortcoming.

3. I think the fact he found second and third receivers and did so while being both a rookie and harassed at times show this is not a big deal.

4. Really? Amazing is all I have to say to this.

5. How many times does Gruden need to say his feet are always in the right position?

A lot less homework than you seem to illustrate, frankly.
