This goes with #3 and may be something you can not teach but he needs a better feel for the rush.

However, if he gets the ball out quicker, it may take care of the matter.

Nice list, he needs work on all of the above but I love his game already, he will only get better!

Agree

Just to clarify I'm a fan of the guy and the way he played was amazing but to think he does not have fundamental stuff to work on is crazy

4 INT's is a little deceptive. I counted AT LEAST that many easy INT's that defenders dropped. But most stats are never as good as they seem. I do know that I'm excited for our future with this kid and I have no doubt that he's going to get better.....
Really you can say the same for any QB though

Absolutely agree. I didn't mean to sound like I was picking on Dak. I doubt we'll ever see again the level of play from a rookie that we saw from Dak this year.....

I am with you my friend, I love Dak but he needs work like any rookie.

I love how he well played this year and to think he will just get better!

The Cowboys won 13 games with a mediocre defense and all of their receivers have limitations. The QB must have been quite good.

Our rookie quarterback was simply sensational, the greatest rookie QB in NFL history. He played at a Pro-Bowl level during the preseason, regular season, and postseason. He led five 4th-quarter comebacks. It could easily have been 6 if our defense played only decently against Green Bay. I still can't believe we got the best player in the draft with the 135th pick.

It's true he's 0-1 in the playoffs, and that hurts, but his 103 QB rating was higher than Rogers and he's the only rookie in NFL history to throw 3 TD's in a playoff game. The way he led the team back from a 21-3 deficit, including a 15 point deficit in the 4th quarter, to tie the game twice was amazing. He ran in the 2 point conversion himself late in the 4th quarter. Some of the most clutch play I've seen by a Cowboy. Reminded me of Troy in the 1995 NFC Championship game. Its hard to win when your defense gives up 34 points.

Yeah but the only reason we denied Romo access to the field was because of some assumed promise Dak was gonna get us playoff wins this year

Look at what Matty Ice is doing to that pathetic secondary. Romo would have gotten the win. Point blank admit it

Everyone here only judged Romo on playoff wins. So I will apply the same logic

I appreciate the career Romo had for the team. He was an excellent player. I wish him well with whatever team he ends up with next season.

Agreed he has played exceptional but

1. Next year teams will have a lot of film on his tendencies so he needs to work to break those tendencies NOW. Look at his own tape and see what he does usually and work to change it up to stay a step ahead of defences

2. He had to work on his fumbles

3. He had to work in his internal clock 1,2,3 ball had to be out

4. Learn to read defences better to anticipate throws

5. Setting his feet when making throws again and again so it becomes second nature

Lots of homework
Needs to do that Brady reps-reps-reps thing. Tough thing for a kid to internalize though.

Weak argument as that applies to all QBs

Many of the fumbles were courtesy of Free getting destroyed on the blind side.
