Twitter: Dak Vows To Clean Up His Play

Sometimes the best throw is the one not made. Dak refuses to throw the ball away if the wr isn’t open. Definitely the most frustrating thing about him.

This is true but earlier in his career people killed him for never being willing to throw the ball if there was even a hint of coverage. Now that he's throwing more and more into tight windows and even putting it up anticipating that the receiver will win the fight for the ball more interceptions is just a fact of life with those. But so are more explosive plays and more scoring. Which we've seen. I'm on record as preferring the more conservative Dak.. but it's not like I have a choice but to accept this version. As long as we keep winning and averaging 35 ppg I'm not getting too worked up over it.

Wow, didn't realize that stat. Certainly needs to clean that up if SB hopes are the goal.

Dak's INT % based on attempts is currently 3.6% which is double his INT % of any year since 2017.
In other words....he sucks.:banghead:

I would put money on it...every interception he's thrown is because he's been late with his throw...

The pattern is a little more crowded with no Amari Cooper drawing double coverage!

Mark Sanchez said it best, "There is a difference between accuracy and precision". Dak was not precise yesterday until the last drive.
I really liked that line also. Perfectly summarized my feelings regarding Dak.

And that matters to you ability to be happy about a win ... because?

If Rush had quarterbacked as Dak did and the team played this bad against the Texans, I would be just as critical. The point was that since you brought up Rush, he performed better against way better teams

this should have been a one sided slaughter and Vegas thought so too.

Any Given Sunday

As I've read plenty of times when Rush was the QB: "wHy cAn'T yOu JuSt Be HaPpY tHe CoWbOyS wOn?"
:muttley:

I know you are not asking me, but I am not entirely happy because I have greater expectations. although I am glad we won, Win or lose, I am not happy unless the Cowboys are playing at a championship caliber level.

I must expect that, and they need to expect that from themselves.
