Looks like the data clearly is saying to start getting Mike White ready to go in 2020 if you want to keep making the playoffs.

Ravens just qualified for the playoffs with mediocre QB play and a great defense. Their QB was averaging like 150 yards passing, in the fifty percentile completion percentage and rushing like 15 times a game. They went 5-1.

Dak isn’t doing anything plenty of QBs in this league are doing, driving the bus. You can probably replace him with Mike White and get the same value. Actually White based on clips I saw throws better and they’d probably be better in some games.

Dak made $725K in salary this year including workout bonus. And he led to 10 wins and the NFC east division title. Interesting stat on many otherhighly paid franchise QBs- Seven of the NFL’s highest paid QBs did not make the playoffs. These guys combined for 40 wins.

Aaron Rodgers: $33.5M
Matt Ryan: $30M
Kirk Cousins: $28M
Jimmy Garoppolo: $27.5M
Matthew Stafford: $27M
Derek Carr: $25M
Ben Roethlisberger $23M

Obviously Jimmy G missed most of the season but those top 3- Rodgers, Ryan and Cousins combined cost their teams a whopping $91 million this year and they did not even make the playoffs.

Hmmmm......
How many of those QBs do you think Dak is better than?

The NFL is a QB driven league in Cap era.

The teams with the greatest QB’s are a more consistent contender over an era. It doesn’t guarantee championships or playoffs every year but they’re more likely to elevate or carry lesser talent around them.

If they aren’t that level hard to justify paying them big money.

I’d agree with this.

The question is couldn’t we find something similar in the draft again instead of committing too much to a Bus Driver?

I think sometimes that's true but is limited to a select few QB's and sometimes just for a season.

If it’s only one season then they’re not elite. And wouldn’t justify paying them.

But teams are so desperate in finding a QB because they understand the importance. It’s why they’ll give up so much in a contract or on draft day.

Josh Johnson came in after not playing an NFL game for 7 years and looked better than “Coach” Mark Sanchez, the guy Dak homers claim as the reason why Dak regressed. Johnson basically was producing Dak-like stats against the Giants and Jaguars and with a Commanders team in disarray and having the most players injured out of any team in the NFL, like over 20.

JJ put up a 105 QB rating his first game starting against the Giants. Homers pretend Dak is doing something unique. Guy plays like every mediocre QB in the league, but has a much better roster that a lot of them.

His whole WR crew was bashing him the beginning half of the season about how they were open. Winning changes everything. Tampa Bay, Dak was awful and was gifted TDs by the defense.

Colleges have to rebuild their programs every 3 or 4 years with new Qb’s.

The NFL is churning their rosters almost yearly now why not do something similar with QB unless he’s a top 10?

3 of those QB’s have been to a SB, 2 were just signed this year to FA big deal and the other two are proven QB’s.

The list of QB’s in the playoffs is more impressive.
Brady, Brees, Rivers, Goff, Mahommes, Luck and few more up and coming young stars who are the difference in their teams new fortune.

If you don’t have a QB, your looking for one.

I’m not sure what the intent or narration is here picking a few QB who didn’t make the playoffs? Does this mean Dak is a greater QB than they are?
I think that the message is that while having a QB is paramount, overpaying can strap your team right out of the playoffs.

Great QBs don’t always win, but they do win a SB and consistently contend. These mediocre QBs with good rosters are usually a flash in the pan, where they catch fire around a good roster one year and than are mediocre multiple years.

JJ best game with his 104 QB rating in an absolute blowout that didn’t go didn’t go down to the wire was against the same Giants team that supposedly attests to Dak’s greatness? Dak is 1-4 against winning teams this year..

Dak’s standard passing game is under 200 yards and when he does break it, it’s pretty much padded stats against prevent.

And JJ didn’t have a training camp to practice with the first team nor did he see live NFL action for seven years.
