Dak vs. Hurts

Dak has been awful in both games that got us bounced the last 2 years.

Hurts played an amazing game last night. He had the one demoralizing play, but it was early and he was lights out the rest of the game.

I don't see how it can even be a comparison anymore. Hurts is leaps and bounds better than Dak.
Teams were 26-1 with 10 point leads in the super bowl until last night.

Matt Ryan has never been able to live that loss down..then we have this post.

This makes no sense, it is the complete opposite of reality.

YOU are the fan of anything not Cowboys and loathe us in every way. YOU soured a dang NFL Man of the Year thread....not me.

YOU bash the Cowboys at every chance and hype of losers like the Eagles. YOU....not me.

Get it straight.

"Not you" is the correct term here and is all that needs to be said.

Dak’s better.

Hurts just runs a system that fits him.

Teams literally dare him to make plays from the pocket.

Eagles get a lot of good looks because of RPOs and teams afraid they will run.

With that said..

Give me Hurts > Dak when factoring in contracts.
His contract is about to change....

The eagles lost because of their defense, not because hurts got slowed down. If Kansas City would've given them time, there's no doubt hurts would have got them in position to win it.
Let's not act like this is anything similar to the falcons.
The eagles punted twice.

And so will the Eagles. For the worst.

If he gets “market value” he will become a anchor to that franchise.
The Eagles won't nearly be as talented next year, you can book that.

Hurts' contract won't be an anchor, unless he plays bad. It is what the going rate is for QBs nowadays.

It will be. Just like all the others. He’s not that good. His team was.

The “going rate for QB’s” is killing teams. Especially when you pay a jag like Hurts.

he has something in common with everyone not named Mahomes only this year.. and i seem to remember Mahomes has also lost a superbowl. He has alot in common with burrow, hurts, brady this year. None of them had teams good enough to win a superbowl. Mahomes is good but he isnt winning superbowl with about 24 of the other teams. the teams arent good enough

Lol what?

The Eagles have a way better team than the Chiefs.

The Chiefs are not that good. They just have a glitch at QB.

It's not an excuse. It's a fact. If you can't be fair and impartial, why comment and make yourself look foolish and biased?
You shouldn't be lecturing anyone on being fair and impartial.

Yes, we had some issues talent wise around him (which I have pointed out ad nauseum dating back to August camp when I argued with people Jerry didn't do enough at WR). But also, Dak was brutal in that San Fran game and you can't blame that on not having enough WRs. He was brutal mostly on his own. You seem to think it can't be both. So LOL at you trying chastise people for being biased. You literally spend all your time on this board making excuses for Dak.

A bit confused with what or who you're trying to troll, but Hurts played to an outstanding 79.7 QBR, the fumble wasnt game changing, and he came back and the Egg's score two TD's after the fumble.
As we all have been reminded by some people, what that fumble did was give points to the other team. It matters.

Imagine watching the game last night and concluding Hurts isn't good and that it's just all the players around him.

I swear this fanbase is funny.

Hurts is good. Is he the best? Of course not. But this desire to try to convince ourselves that Hurts wasn't really great this year is funny. Something tells me if Hurts played for the Chargers, we wouldn't have all these Cowboys fans wanting to claim he's not very good.

Most people recognize the system that Hurts is running and his ability to run is why he is having success.

He’s not being asked to run a traditional NFL offense.

Teams literally stand off and beg him to throw at times.

But guys like you don’t recognize these 1 read easy throws against man that are basic and simple. It’s ok. I get it.

Beg him to throw.

Seemed to not work. He had a QB rating of 101.5 this year and only threw 2 picks. They were arguably the best offense in the NFL and you don't get that with a mediocre QB.

This idea that all he does is make 1 read and throw the ball is funny. Again, the level of criticism of Hurts is simply because he's an Eagle. He was great this year. We'll see what next year brings.

We've had 3 All-Pro linemen on the O-line at the same time and couldn't win a single playoff game.

Dak is the problem and there's not an o-line you could build to make him successful. He will find a way to fail.
I said that in regards to our run game. Philly gets more push on a qb sneak than we get all game.
