all good and well. its like I say I like 6, you say, no... you like half a dozen...Neither one of them were successful as QB of the Dallas Cowboys because they didn't or haven't taken the team to the SB. But if you are just evaluating the talent to play QB, there is no comparrison, Romo was a much better QB than Dak has been. Romo had a quicker mind, understood what the defense was doing and was tremendous with pre snap reads and his pocket presence is light years ahead of Dak. I personally think if you swap the times they played, Dak would not have been even close to as successful as Romo was with the OL Romo had most of his career. Flip that around, if 2014 Romo had the team that Dak has had for the majority of his career, he would have won a SB or two.
results.... neither was impressive. playoff success. both sucked. Romo averaged 219 passing yards per game, dak 257.
romo average 12.1 ypc, dak is 11.3
romo had 2.7% interception rate to Dak'2 2%
romo had 97.1 rating, to Dak's 98.1
pretty much similar QBs..... but I am sure somebody is going to say, Dak plays against weaker teams, while Romo put everyone on his back and carried them alone and beat up on good teams...
