I prefer to say we got him for the Compensatory pick we got for the Eagles giving Murray a monster contract .....
That would be good if that was actually the case, but Dak's Comp pick came from losing Pernell.

I'd certainly hope so, the guy was the #2 overall pick, has a far superior team around him, and has a better coach. But, even with all that, if he's ahead of Rayne, it's not by much.
Since when is the Eagle's offensive team "far superior" to ours? His receivers dropped about 3 TD's and 200 yards of passes the first two games.

Hence the phrase, "guys like you".

It was the last time that everyone on this site was shaking in their boots about a rookie phenom qb....wasn't necessarily saying that you said it.

No problem. Just seemed that when you quoted me and then said "guys like you" that you were referring to something I said.

Imo this comparison should not be made now.Wentz played a approximation of a pro style offense in ND.HE already had a great touch pass and routinely threw it deep with accuracy.Dak on the other hand played in a Shotgun RPO offense. His numbers on deep passes were not good plus he didnt have a good support cast.lets see how Dak develops and learns to play better under Center .

We are having a discussion about the kid. If you don't like it, then find another thread.

And you'll note, I haven't said once that I want him. I think Prescott has done just fine. My issue is with fans here struggling to admit what is obvious, at least at this point. The kid can play.
It doesn't matter if Prescott is behind him or not or if fans are way up Prescott's butt. We are here trying to go to the Super Bowl, and to compare this and that is just stupid right now. Now once we're eliminated from the playoffs, have at it. But whatever floats your boat, carry on.

Oh..... so we can't discuss the team, other teams, other teams' players until we are eliminated from the playoffs?

I don't think you quite understand how sports message boards work.

You can talk about dogs eating **** for all I care. But it just seems like you're putting down OUR QB for another one, when there's nothing we can do about it now. Anyways, have at it.

Except nowhere in this thread have I put down or even come close to putting down Prescott.

The fact you can't comprehend what I've written is your issue, not mine.

It sounds like you are trying to convince yourself in any way humanly possible that Wentz is bad. Have fun with that.

I don't think he has good pocket awareness. The guy takes way too many hits. Sounds like you are a fanboi for an Eagles player.

Tonight we get to watch Carson Wentz play against the Bears.

Next week we get to watch Dak play on SNF vs the Bears.

The media hasn't recognized it yet so I will help do their job for them.

Both Rookie QB's will get the Bears on primetime so naturally everyone is going to start comparing the 2.

As most of you know I had Wentz as far and away the best QB in the draft so im excited for these comparisons to begin.

Based on two games, it seems that I was wrong, wrong, wrong about Wench.
But, dear lads, keep an eye on Catch17....
It appears that when we finally play the Egirls, Catch17 will be wearing his green Jersey and root-root-Rooting for Wench!
Yes, I few the loss of a forum member to the dastardly Egirls!
I can see the portly and short Catch17 going crazy and swooning over Wench!

Oh, IS DAK NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOU, STOUT FELLOW?

Why else would our Catch carry his grievances so long? Yes, some here doubted Wench's acumen, his calm under pressure, his leadership and accuracy. And when Wench stayed cool and dismantled the MIGHTY BEARS, Catch was over the moon with his Wench.

Oh, I was so wrong about Wench.

Tonight, Catch17 will go to sleep in his green Jersey, a self-made Wench doll under his pillow and mutter, as he goes to sleepy time, "I want me some Wench, I love me some Wench."
Sleep well, little Egirls fan.
I hope our underachieving defense can stop Wench, your new friend who is a boy.

So wrong about Wench....:(

Did it occur to anybody else that there was virtually no NFL film for defensive coordinators to go by as Wentz missed almost the entire preseason? When you add two very bad teams I think Tebow would have won those two games. It gave Wentz a definite advantage over Dak, yet here we are, Dak, the fourth rounder is leading the second pick in the draft Wentz in some important stats, has two impressive fourth quarter drives, had 2 dropped td passes leading to a loss, and he's a TOP monster. That can't be undervalued. If Dak did what Romo typically does, which is start a lot of games at three and out, three and out, three and out, touchdown before half, three and out, three and out, 2 int's, then 4 td's in the fourth quarter, etc...the defense would have been worn out by the third quarter. Because of Dak's ability to extend drives, and not turn the ball over, we had a great 4th quarter defense. Result, WIN.

Having said that, there is also no reason that Wentz can't be a winning QB. You don't have to be elite to win anymore. He has the arm, ala Flacco, but a 10 cent head is lurking if he can't get rid of the ball and gets hurt ala Romo. It remains to be seen what Wentz will be able to do now that substantial film is out on him. A good team like Pittsburgh will game plan for him.

The mark of an elite QB is not only wins, but the ability to raise the level of play all around him in every position. Heck, maybe even raise the level of coaching from mediocre to bery good. We saw that on Sunday. And shut my mouth to see Garrett go bold. And I mean to keep it shut if he continues with his newly bold self. Dak did all dat Sunday. Can Wentz? We will see, but there was a reason Dak was MVP of the Senior Bowl and not Wentz. We may have that answer by the end of the season.

There is no "at this point" about it. Prescott will always have an inferior arm and the things people praise Prescott for Wentz also has in spades.

He's the real deal. Complete package. Superior player.

Hope he gets hurt. That's what we're left with.
Superior player except on the field. Fortunately, games aren't played in their underwear...

And for all of you Wentz lovers...please explain why his season qbr is 22nd in the league while Dak's is 11th.
