A LB plowing him in the first half comes to mind.

He wasn't oblivious to it. He saw it coming and delivered a perfect strike to his TE for a first down.

Now, he does seem to take some unnecessary hits, specifically when he starts to scramble around.

It was in his face. Of course he saw it at the last second and has a quick release. Still doesn't mean he didn't just eat it for lack of anticipation/awareness.

That particular play impressed me the most. He knew he was going to get crushed and stood tall delivering nd accurate pass for a first down. You don't see that from a lot of quarterbacks namely Jay Cutler.

It doesn't hurt that he's nearly 6.6 240 pounds.

They got a late first round pick most likely. Could be a good player but not near as big an impact as a top 10 pick they would likely have next year.

At this point it doesn't really matter for the Eagles.

Getting anything back and most likely hitting on a QB is incredible. They did a masterful job.. I'll give the Vikings some credit for that masterful job.

Props to the Eagles for identifying talent in Wentz though.

You said he was oblivious to it. He clearly wasn't. He saw it coming but waited for his TE to get open and was willing to take the hit to get a first down.

Rams were dumber for taking Goff over Wentz.

Agreed.. A lot of people liked him over Wentz. Even the Cowboys who coached the guy supposedly like Goff more than Wentz.

Goff could still be good but I don't think he poses the threat to NFL defenses that Wentz does.

Makes me sick looking at him with that stupid bird helmet on.

BTW, how dumb are the Browns?

Browns are just the Browns. They've done the same stupid stuff since their rebirth.

We'll know by the middle of the season. Right now it's too early. Besides Wentz has two tough games next and Dak has two easy games.

It sounds like you are trying to convince yourself in any way humanly possible that Wentz is bad. Have fun with that.

If you can't handle a discussion about an Eagles player, then take your sack of bones back to the Philly boards.
Now YOU have fun with that, Jabroni.

Dak's looking a little thin up top from his interviews, so Wentz wins that round.

Second question: On average, how many liters of sunblock does Wentz go through in a year? It might make financial sense for him to inquire about a Coppertone sponsorship.

If we drafted him, we'd have to give up a haul for Cleveland to have taken our deal over Philly. I'm saying at least 2 1sts and a 2nd. We don't have a Bradford to trade to lower the Wentz compensation, unless the Cowboys were willing to trade Romo.
People also forget that Philly had to give up Foles and a 2nd rounder to get Bradford and got very little out of him.. Now Foles wasn't worth a lot, but the 2nd was valuable.

I made this comment here before the draft.

I don't know if Wentz is going to be a star or not but he has a strong arm, he is mobile, he is very athletic, and he is smart. All the qualities for your starting QB. I don't have access to determine his personality, competitiveness, work ethic etc.. only scouts and personnel people do, but if those interviews pass the quality control check then that's the move you make (Browns, good Lord), and it's a no brainer.

Now i don't know who is in charge of the vetting process with the Rams (or any other team that had Goff rated higher), but anyone who doesn't know where the sun rises and sets has lived his entire life as a clueless fool. He's from California for goodness sake, all those times they are hanging on the beach watching the sun set he literally had no idea where he was or what it meant.

I'm not joking, i understand they are trying to get a stadium built etc.. California boy and all, but this is absurd. I see huge bust with Goff, and a chance at stardom for Wentz.

I know you don't have to be a brain surgeon to play football, but there is a lot to handle being a premier starting QB in the NFL, as much off the field as on, being a moron reduces your chance at success dramatically.

If i'm wrong about this i'm going to be a little sad, meaning i might have to slightly alter my understanding of a game i've loved watching for over 40 years xD.
