If Prescott wouldn't have done what he has done I'd be raging right now because the Cowboys coached this guy first hand and they didn't move up to get him.

I'm taking Dak, especially for where he was drafted. We'd likely have to have given up 2 1sts, a 2nd and a 4th at minimum to outbid the Eagles... so the real question is, would you prefer Dak, Ezekiell Elliott, Jaylon Smith and whoever we draft next year in the 1st or Wentz.

Even if we take the haul out of the equation, I'm taking Dak. Wentz takes too many big hits. He's going to get knocked out one of these games. We saw what happened in preseason, and he took some huge hits tonight. Talentwise, both guys are on a similar level and I wouldn't be mad with either one.

Both have a lot of similar attributes, frankly. Both seem intelligent and fully capable of digesting an NFL playbook; both exhibit tremendous poise; both control their holder and have that "it" factor; both are careful and smart with the football; both are athletic and accurate; both display quality pocket awareness. By all accounts, both also crave the game of football and have an unquenchable thirst to succeed. (That latter factor cannot be overstated.)

Wentz's arm jumps off the screen, considerably more so than Dak's. You can tell why he was a top pick. He makes some terrible decisions with regards to protecting his body, however.

Why wouldn't the Browns have taken less to move down 2 less spots?

Regardless.. Look what we did with our first 3 picks... I would trade that in a second for a QB.

I'm extremely happy with Dak. Extremely happy. I just wouldn't have done what Dallas did.. Wentz would be a Cowboy right now if I were GM.

We lucked into Dak so hopefully all is even and Carson doesn't turn into a full blown superstar.

He looks good no doubt. Considering where Dallas got Dak, I'd take Dak. If Zeke looked better and that damn 2nd round pick were used on an impact player, it's not even close.....

What are the Browns thinking? Look at the QB problems they are having? Imagine the optimism that franchise would have if they had a QB that actually looked the part.

Wentz would probably be out for the season if he was drafted on the Browns.

I understand what you're saying but I don't buy the Dak being better value.

Give me value at any position but QB.. Give me the straight up better player and I don't care what I have to pay.

With that said Dak could very well be better than Wentz I'm just using these 2 as an example.

What is Wentz doing that is leagues beyond Dak? They look comparable. If I can have two qbs that are playing on a similar level and have 2 1st rounders and a 2nd to go along with it, I'm taking the qb and the treasure trove of picks.

He's not leagues better, I agree. It's just that Dak looks like a legitimate 1st rounder. It's amazing what Jerruh stumbled into.

Wentz easy schedule is done for the rest of the season. It will be interesting to see how he fares now that the warm up is over.

He definitely looks like a 1st rounder. Dak had no weapons at Mississippi State, hence a lot of the questions about his 'accuracy'. That DUI of his also let him drop. People started getting the impression that he is an inaccurate 'running qb' when that's far from the case. We lucked into the guy. If this team stinks it up again this year, we may be able to get Myles Garrett to go along with that, and that would be a very strong foundation for the future.

Man, at MSU he was an inaccurate running QB. My theory is it has to be the system Dan Mullen is running there. The QB is expected to carry the entire offense running & passing. Everything feeds off the QB. In the NFL, Dak has playmakers around him to do that. He's a big cog in the machine but he's just got to distribute the ball, not perform as the be all end all offensive player.

........and meanwhile NDSU goes on the road as a FCS level team and hits Power 5 13 ranked Iowa in the mouth ..............holding them to 34 yards rushing and running the ball for 240..........They beat Iowa at their own game of possession and power running ...........

Easton Stick is 11-0 as a starter.................maybe it is a culture at NDSU. Was worth the 10 hour drive............after the Game NDSU Band even played Iowa's win song------In Heavan There is No Beer".................LOL

It seems as though you're using this as an argument for Wentz? Whether his team was good or not was never a point of contention. It was the opposite. That they play in a division of lesser talent was the issue along with the fact they've won before him, without him (better record last year when he was out ) and as apparent by beating Iowa, after him.

Meanwhile miss st kicked off life after Dak by granting south Alabama their first ever SEC victory. Lol

I think you mean Goff. Dak was a 4th round pick...considered a long-term project. The mere fact that the topic of comparing a supposedly "top 3" talent to a guy drafted in the 4th round is even brought up should tell you that the Cowboys may have gotten the steal of the draft.

so all Dak has to do is pass for 190 yards and 1 TD vs the Bears? and of course win

No, Dak, the actual QB of our team, has to pass for 300 or more yards, no ints, and 3 TDs. . Going 22-30/292, no ints on the road against a divisional rival, and leading the team on an 80- yard drive to get the win late in the 4th is not enough.
