Maybe JJ don’t want him, or maybe Dak don’t want to be here. Or Daks agent is greedy and screwing Dak and us.
I love Dak but even I would not have offered Dak to be the highest paid quarterback at the end of 2018. He hired France as his agent and he wants top dollar. To be honest I might even trade for Rodgers then pay Dak at 38 million on the second tag.We missed our opportunity to sign him last year choosing to wait and see how he performed in 2019. Now if we wait until 2021 he’s going to be much more expensive .
At least about 7 million more just on the Franchise Tag but an extended contract next year will surpass anything we could arrive at today.
Assuming we still want Dak for years to come if we don’t sign him today it’s going to be a poor financial decision compared to next year or years ahead.
The only conclusion we can arrive at today if we don’t extend him is we aren’t sold on Dak and that message will be loud and clear.
They better redo the plan because Dak will be gone in two years. Let's hope for more than the next Paxton Lynch or Quincy Carter. God help us.

Garrett shared the same record over that stretch, yet he sucked
The team worked a strategy last year with it's HC to make their decision for them.A major potential career ending injury is a risk no doubt.
But by most of the national sport writers and local beat writers the Cowboys if they are intent on retaining Dak into the future are risking additional millions in a contract beginning next year instead of inking him this year.
If the Cowboys are still in doubt of Dak and need another year to decide then perhaps the decision has already been made?

Really..........what if he has a bad year?Yep and why if we are intent on retaining Dak, barring some unusual injury or circumstance, today will be the cheapest we will be able to sign him for many years to come.
.....can you imagine adding a SB victory to the resume? Thats another 5-6 million on top. Dallas has the offense to make noise this year, if they play.We missed our opportunity to sign him last year choosing to wait and see how he performed in 2019. Now if we wait until 2021 he’s going to be much more expensive .

You sound scared
I can't wait until y'all get to see happy feet Dalton. Y'all gonna love it lol.
No we would have a lot more wins over the last 10 years if JG didn’t suck. Maybe have a ring or 2...That fool said BOOM like he dropped some type of gem

Yes..as in not convinced.I understand you and many others aren’t but are you saying the Cowboys aren’t? And when I say Cowboys I’m referring to those in the front office , Daddy and Son , and our coaching staff .
As of today he's playing for the cowboys. Wake me up when that changes. If they were sold on him, he wouldve gotten his deal. There were several times when Jerry asked the staff if they were sure hes the guy.
The Cowboys are going down a road with Dak that has never led to the QB eventually being with the team long term. Just because you want him here long term doesnt mean its likely at this point.
Its only a QB stat when it benefits Dak lol.........I thought we all agreed that wins aren't a QB stat. Play fair son
Im frightened at the possibility of Dalton being our quarterback. I am.You sound scared
