Dak without Zeke

Well, it looks like we may all see how much Zeke attributed to Dak's success if the 6 game suspension holds. I am one who thinks that the threat of Zeke had a huge effect on the ability of Dak to put up the numbers he did. I also think Dak played extremely well but many discount Zeke's effect on that. Even Troy and the 93 Cowboys could not win without Emmitt.

I think it could be a rough 6 games!

I like Dak and I'm excited for his future. But some people here have already have him a gold jacket. This will be ago he test for dak. He is a guy that flings the ball down field at will. He never was. I'm rooting hard for him but let's See how he does. He will be behind in almost every game we play without Zeke. Is dak good enough to win A gameS when def are asking him to beat him.

These stats showing the relationship of Dak with Zeke and without are crap. Why would he have been without Zeke? Down and distance situations. Of course his stats will be worse on third and forever.

People are going to realize just how much Zeke impacted the offensive game. Sure, Dallas can still compete with what they have now but it is going to be a tougher road.

Teams will now stack the box and dare Dak to beat them with his arm......which I think he is capable of. As long as Linehan utilizes the receivers to take some pressure off, we should be fine. If Switzer rarely sees the field and they stubbornly force the run, it might get ugly.

We will know soon enough

Weeden played without Zeke, Demarco, and Dez. We saw what that looked like.

Dak might have to carry a much bigger load for these six games.

However, something tells me an injunction will be in place, and he won't have to.

Well Dak will have more weapons at wr/te than last year. The addition of Switzer, Gathers, and hopefully the improvement of Brice Butler should open up the passing game for Dak. Teams that don't respect McFadden or Morris, will have to respect Dez, TWill, Beasley, Switzer on the field at the same time. Our OL just has to keep creating holes for the rb's without Zeke.

This is a great chance for Dak to further establish himself as a leader. Adversity just gives you the opportunity to grow. He can grow as a man and a leader through this-- and the suspension may very well work to bring an "us against the world"/"backs against the wall"/"wounded animal" narrative the team can draw on for motivation and cohesiveness.

Dak is charismatic enough to lead the team through this setback. From a production standpoint-- we won't have the "homerun" threat that Zeke brings, but DMC and Morris are FAR from being JAGs. They can carry the load and be solid for 6 games and do enough to keep defenses honest.

Dak and Garrett. This is where we will need both of them more then ever.

Just like last year when Dak won without Tyron and Dez he'll do the same without Zeke.

Production from the RB position is the easiest thing to get in the NFL from backup talent. Especially a former 28 year old who was a Pro Bowler.

Dak will be fine.

If the Patriots can go 3-1 without Tom Brady then surely we can do well without a RB.

What will hurt us more then Zeke is the plethora of other suspensions.

The other thing not being talked about as much is the offensive line. New RT, new LG, and Ty Smith having back issues. Definitely going to be a challenge, at least early on.

Well miss the big play threat of Zeke, but hopefully having Switzer on the field with Beasley, both those guys can make big plays in the open field.

TSmith had back issues last year, but still performed at a high level.

All the other suspensions combined do not even come close to the effect of Zekes IMO

We will definitely miss the big plays from Zeke. However, it will all come down to discipline and minimizing the mental errors, because I can see us slowly marching down the field with Dez, Beasley, and Witten.

I can't wait to see Gathers work with Dak in the upcoming preseason games to see what kind of chemistry they can create. If Gathers can be a weapon, that will just open up more opportunities for the other wr's.

Heres the thing...

Zeke is a big loss but we're such a complete offense that we should be able to overcome Zeke's presence.

The defense is missing a ton of pieces due to suspension.

This may be an unpopular opinion but i'd rather have all of our defenders back then Zeke.
