According to Google, his net worth is 70 million. WHY do you need any more money?
I have no issue with anyone eeking every penny they can, I would do the same whether I am a football player, project manager or cashier that is what is great and not so great about our society.

According to Fox Sports, Dak's cap hit is $59M which would an NFL record. With Parsons eligible and deserving of a hugh contract in 2024 and Zack Martin wanting to be paid as the best guard , it will be interesting to see who Jerry pays and who he doesn't.
Could be but wont be. He will extend and they will push the cap down to around 30-35m which is pretty normal. They can just keep shifting the money for probably most of his career and yes they will be in trouble for a couple years after he is finished but they would have been anyway.

SEVENTY-MILLION DOLLARS. $70,000,000. Hell, you can have 5 million, and you and your kids will never have to worry about money. If Dak has kids, and his kids have kids, and their kids have kids, none of them have to worry about money. If he's not willing to take a discount at this point, that proves beyond a reasonable doubt he cares more about money than winning a championship. I don't care what any of y'all say. It's ridiculous.

Well, that's less than optimal.....

I think they found more than one.

The overreaction in this thread is borderline hilarious.
its oblivious thinking..."I know the logic, but using logic doesnt help my agenda!"
Of course they will extend him and lower it just as he has never been a "40 mill" cap hit on this contract...
"We cant pay Dak 60 mill a year!!!!" sounds alot better than
"We can't pay Dak 20 mill a year!!!"

while carrying a cap hit of $26,832,647 I'm trying to make this 40 mill can someone help me out?

Let's all face it. Dak will never be a 24% cap hit. Never going to happen. If he's that high of a cap hit then they're giving up on the season.

Lets see what Dak can do this season. If he craps the bed it's time to move on.

So, throw more money at a bad investment?
It's about getting better.

It's not about throwing money at it. What options are there that are not yahoo fantasy football? If you don't have any other options that would clearly make us better then the current option is the best one available. You may not like it. I may not like it. It is what it is. All the whining ain't making it better.

How is extending Dak making the cowboys better?
You're paying Dak millions more to do the same thing he's been doing for last 8 years. How is that better?
.
They should have draft a couple of QBs the last 8 years...even if for nothing else but to put some pressure on Dak to IMPROVE.
But no...Dak is virtually the same today as he was in his earlier years.

lol, pay dak because we just want him to drive the bus. You can make this up. We want him to run the offense like Rush did, but we need to pay him a lot. what the crap.

I believe there should be a rule set in place on this site that for those who speak about the salaries of players, they must also put under their avatars their annual salary for all to see.

Somehow there are people who believe if the team had the extra money they are complaining about, the team would somehow be better because they would spend that money wisely.

The history of this brain trust should indicate nothing is further from the truth.
If you did that, you'd get why some of them are so angry.

I didn't say pay dak is the only option. your assumption is me saying not to draft a QB. I have been saying it in a lot of my other comments. we should have generally drafted a QB in the first 3 rounds every 3 or 4 years. maybe 4th round even if somebody with potential falls and we can develop. either they don't work out and we move on. or they show something and give sus leverage in negotiations or even trade. this is all on Jerry and his stupid GM moves. he cornerend himself.

and lets not pay Dak. I asked and I asked again. what's the move that will guarantee we get better. do you have any options? name the QB we should have drafted and had a chance and he was better than Dak? who should we have drafted this year and didn't. last year?

again, the alternate option has to be better than current option. change for the sake of change without proper planning and knowledge of getting better is just pure stupidity.

btw, there are only 2 elite QBs in the league. all these other teams compete every year and try to get to the superbowl. welcome to the NFL.
