Trust me we would be screwed regardless. If Cowboys didnt sign Dak all they would’ve done was spend that money on Lance, Biadiz, Armstrong, Parsons and Tyron Smith.

Nah, they will let some of the productive guys that are not putting up heavy statistics go. Dalton Schultz and Connor Williams fairly recently. Tyron was age/performance/salary related. They might have given Armstrong the same contract, but felt they could replace Biadasz. They don’t always resign their guys, and will try to find outside guys on mid tier deals occasionally. I’m not arguing that the front office is not the biggest issue for this franchise, but blaming them for every single problem is silly too.

Anybody that predicted 10 or more wins before the season shouldn’t get to have an opinion on Jerry and his decisions.

You thought he put together a good enough roster to have double digit wins this season.

Don't wait until you’re wrong to complain about Jerry being wrong.

Dak's Contract screwed us!

I have been a Dak fan an supported him overall, yet his new contract is so dumb (dumb, dumb, dumb). Let him play it out and then sign him if he does something.

Seriously, We sacrificed drafting a QB in the top 10 and actually having options or being forced to ride with him for the next 3 years with hard cap hits. Parsons and his big mouth, No OL help, No RB help, no DL to stop the run, and hoping a new coach in the next 2 years wants to even try.

What do we have? Diggs, and Lamb are the only building blocks we have.

I am sad, and never have I been this down on the team.

Again, I was never a Dak hater and still not, but you don't extend him.

I have a car loan right now. I would not re-finance it unless the interest allows me to pay it off sooner without sacrificing the age of the loan.
Translation: Jerry Jones screwed us

Agreed. Jerry should have never paid Dak top overall pay. Nimodo. It is what it is. Gotta deal with it now.
Let's take personal feelings about Dak out of this equation when I say that Jerry had the PERFECT opportunity to let the current qb play out the season before signing.

If he did and Dak played outstanding he still could have kept him for 60 million OR he would also have the chance to draft a high pick rookie Qb instead.

If someone is a fan of the franchise they would want to see the FO have Both options.

He is the most overrated businessman I can think of in the modern era

Yep, there's no point in us moaning about Dak and his contract and yes we aren't going to really build without Jerry's involvement.
New coaching team and give the HC an involvement in all aspects of the roster.
The real problem is that Jerry will employ a head coach who he can manipulate or influence.

They're designed to be restructured. And what was the excuse when Dak and Zeke were ballin' on rookie contracts?
That's right, Jerry Jones STILL failed to build a championship team.

The GM has always been the problem.

Those teams were a QB away.

Stop buying Jerry's nonsense. We have $25M in cap room THIS YEAR.
Which is just needed rollover money for next year since they're already one of the top cap hits in the league for 2025. You can't spend $25M this time of year. Next year is when the Dak extension actually starts, but you have $291M in cap hits for a $240M extension. The contract and equally as important Jerry's handling of the contracts has been horrible for this team.

They had to let those guys go. Let’s remember didn’t they franchise Schultz? They should’ve let him go before then. They like they own until they can’t afford them. They talked about the whole “pie” first one who get the piece of pie get signed. That’s how we ended up with Collins and Jaylin Smith long term. It’s silly to blame them for every single problem? It’s hard not to they are indirectly responsible for every failure.

They cannot play the actual game-that’s why it is silly. They have an absurd and dysfunctional authority and decision making tree. They make poor signings.

They also make some pretty good decisions at times. They used to sign 2-3 of the best free agents to gigantic contracts and did weeks of interviews and press conferences. That never worked and ended up helping cause some of those 5-11 seasons so long ago. They did just put together a team that was good enough to win three twelve win seasons in a row (though the playoffs were abject failures).

They tripled down on a future tied to Dak and his best receiver after looking at the stats from last season without context. Yes, the Dak contract catastrophe and its domino effect is a result of their decision to extend him. But they are probably expecting him to fight hard and win half the games even with lesser talent. The team’s offensive line is not as talented, and I guess they did not realize that 31 year old QBs can drastically lose their mobility and pass velocity even from one season to the next.

Schultz could have been signed. They just felt they could easily replace his production, and for the most part I agree with them. They sign guys when they like their previous production and feel uncomfortable about having to replace that production. It has typically resulted in at least 0.500 ball. This time it is obviously not going to work.

They will have around 100 million in cap space.

Yes, it did.

But heck, our FO did a lot of stupid things back in 2021.

Ding! Ding! Ding!!
It's not Dak, it's not Romo, its not MM, it wasn't Garrett. We haven't been to the NFC Championship since the freakin 90s!!! Before Jerry forced Landry and then Jimmy out, the NFC Championship was almost a given!
It's JERRY people!!! Stop blaming the latest scapegoat. It's freakin Jerry Jones!!

Easy add In BeeBee, Tyler smith, I still like Furgy in Better offense, maybe Osa, but Overshown, bland, Liafu, possibly Kneeland, and Parsons to name few more.

I mean you want to tell this guy that maybe he should allow the rookies to develop a little bit before like 2024's rookie class...

I think has some good players in it that we need to let develop, I already mentioned a couple but we're writing guys off and then we can add in just for good measure I like Thomas and bell.. I also like Hoffman and bass to develop along that offensive line guyton is definitely not a lost because I mean come on dude, we're eight games into a rookie season, and this guy is saying we don't have anybody but that two,

I mean what's he been watching the hate train and the casual fan opinions are in full effect.
