Dak's Contract screwed us!

I have been a Dak fan an supported him overall, yet his new contract is so dumb (dumb, dumb, dumb). Let him play it out and then sign him if he does something.

Seriously, We sacrificed drafting a QB in the top 10 and actually having options or being forced to ride with him for the next 3 years with hard cap hits. Parsons and his big mouth, No OL help, No RB help, no DL to stop the run, and hoping a new coach in the next 2 years wants to even try.

What do we have? Diggs, and Lamb are the only building blocks we have.

I am sad, and never have I been this down on the team.

Again, I was never a Dak hater and still not, but you don't extend him.

I have a car loan right now. I would not re-finance it unless the interest allows me to pay it off sooner without sacrificing the age of the loan.
Fans have been well groomed by the Owners

Name one non-bargain basement player Jerry Jones will sign with the Fan Friendly Cap :lmao2:

First off.. If you look at my history.. I am not a troll. Actually always been positive and supporting whatever the team does. This just stinks right now, and has me frustrated with Jerry. He is being a reactive owner/GM instead of a proactive. Get these players locked up sooner, or take a chance and see what happens and ride the contract out.

I do agree with a lot of what you said actually, and I should have worded or not included the building blocks sentence. We do have a lot of young talent who could do amazing things in the future years.

I am not hating the team, just the ownership choices and also not hating on Dak, I would take his contract without thinking. Not his problem to take less money.
we are all frustrated with Jerry and the state of affairs. We have been sold a lie. The idea that signing Dak and ceedee has prevented us from making deals is nonsense. Truth is, Jerry was ticked after the GB game last year. Hes holding the coaching staffs' feet to the fire...
"all in." We are witnessing the ire of Jerry and son. They fail to understand how this sport works. When the likes of Mike Fisher tells us this has always been a rebuild, I believe him.

”the ire of Jerry and son”? They understand how the NFL works. Fans don’t.

Fans understand what a lie is. That doesn't require that we be NFL experts. We aren't paid to do that job THEY ARE and they suck at it. Jerry the snake oil salesman is very good at being a con man. We need to stop being willful customers. Only reason I till follow my team is because of those he came before Jerry. Tex, Clint Murchison, Landry and all the great players. BTW, the fans are smarter than we get credit for.

You're a day late and a dollar dude. If you knew this contract was going to screw this organization for YEARS to come, why didn't you borrow your son's GI Joe outfit make like a Super Seal and sneak into JJ's bedroom the day before the official resigning of Dak " TOAD HUNTER" Prescott and bag him not to do it, YOU had this whole organization, not to mention all of Cowboy Nation to think about and YOU let us all down AND now you want to POST that the Prescott signing is going to haunt this organization for many, many, many, many and many more years to come.................................

Anybody that predicted 10 or more wins before the season shouldn’t get to have an opinion on Jerry and his decisions.

You thought he put together a good enough roster to have double digit wins this season.

Don't wait until you’re wrong to complain about Jerry being wrong.
Would the Cowboys of had 10 wins even with a healthy Dak?

Theres a scene in Back to the Future where MJF appears in geek dad/boys room and was dressed like an alien and relaying a very relevant message.
Sounds crazy but is true.

This franchise is cursed, Jerry made a deal...
Even stupid Jones could have been tossed a decent bone just from the basic law of averages.
I have never seen this front office in this big of a total mess, and yes Im saying FO, because it should be bigger than just Jerry.
Stephen is just as responsible for failure if he allows Jerry to keep signing off on horrible franchise crippling decisions.
It's not all doom and gloom folks, we got nearly 300m cap 2025.

In August, I predicted they'd be 2-7 at this point.
So, they've overperformed and exceeded my expectations...lol.

lol. I was not talking about the forum's features. Those features are obvious. Any individual creating and posting messages without talk-to-text software comprehends how those functions work and operate them in turn--on any internet forum site.

No. I made an observation of how your talk-to-text features were controlling the forum's reply options. The mass of text without punctuation has long since become commonplace. What's new is mass of text without punctuation AND color. And the follow up reply was mass + virtually no periods + alternate color + font size change.

The software seems pretty robust. Is it A.I. aided?

Unless you want to turn this into Twitter or should we call it X or some limited character place, you have a fully functioning form which by the way I have to deal with massive massive insidious ads that pop up within all our posts, while we're posting they become really big and take up half the page ,so if I have to deal with that, you can deal with my talk to text..

not a big deal professor I mean you do realize this is not college we're not being graded it's not a professional setting in any way shape or form it's not business we're not using Microsoft Word to make sure everything is perfect because that is not this place you all are about an annoying as it gets so I like to be equally annoying so I'm gonna do I run on sentence ramble as much as possible 'cause it saves me time and this place is not something I get paid for and as much as I wanna talk about the Dallas Cowboys this place could be one of the most frustrating places to visit so I'm glad I'm eating and frustrating some people's eyes and making their eyes cross the latest movies..<<<<<How about this<<<<<<<<

!@#$%^&*()_+>>>>>>><<<<<<,,,,,,..../////???????? There I hope that makes up for all the missing punctuation for that may have bothered you i just pu....ere just in case you wanted them back.lol.

Well I'm just want to remind you you left off a lot of names and I didn't even post all the names there are people that are still growing here and by the way you do realize that about 17% of the roster is retooled every year sometimes up to 25% for every team that is why it's a business it's a living breathing entity that has to be constantly changed and this year they dropped the ball a little things didn't go our way lots of injuries players not playing up to expectations I mean the front office had different views and especially the coaching staff is the biggest place to go for the blame literally they didn't know how to properly use the running backs last year got worse this year we didn't need to have a running back by committee it's obvious Rico should have been the starter last year in my opinion Rico should have got this carries that Tony got Tony should have got the carries that Rico got and it would have been better for both backs but our coaching staff does not know how to utilize talent they don't know how to create schemes to make that talent better and a lot of frustration here is because of our coaching staff inability to to adapt and adjust and it just seems worse than it is and hopefully just overhauling the coaching staff next year another draft another free agent market will be right back in it I don't think this is a start of any kind of downward spiral of this team I know it seems like it we're all frustrated...

And I'm sorry you don't like my rambling run on sentences but I don't have time for this place so in order to make time for all the social media stuff in between work and my regular life I use talk to text it's my thing and if anybody's ever done any jumbles crosswords things in the newspaper there are books there are games that you have to pick out words and numbers and sentences that are immersed in a big block of 1000 characters and somehow I've been able to read those and find words sentences and numbers sequences and I also have seen those memes where you have to read something upside down we do have that capability and if you can't read my stuff like people complain about it then I would say that's on you not on me I'm just trying to get more done in a shorter amount of time and I'm using technology that enables me to do it in this place if I had time to come back it reboots in 5 minutes I can't come back and fix stuff so this is my way of multitasking...:muttley::popcorn::oldcouple:

I do get the frustration I just think that while you were mad typing you left out a lot of good players and I think that maybe you're missing the point that teams do this yearly a rebuild and in today's NFL you can get back on it right away and I really don't think we're gonna have a bad year next year this is a very bad year it's a very frustrating year that it's over by mid season so I get it not trying to be harsh I just think that you're looking at it without any perspective or real context you're just mad it's hyperbole it's opinion you're being aggressive and you're taking it out on this page and I just thought I'd give you a alternate view...

Yeah but about Prescott that's a whole other thing you either gonna have a quarterback like him who's a top ten quarterback who's been a top five quarterback who just last year was that best quarterback in the league in my opinion as far as regular season goes he got robbed the MVP but he was second in MVP voting he was the highest scoring offense last year just last year he didn't fall off a Cliff the team just as bad around him and yes he's not Superman I don't think Patrick mahomes would be functioning well because he's not playing that well in Kansas City either but they're covering him up that's a great team great defense great coaching staff they utilized all their talent to a level where they maximize average players and make them really good because of the scheme they do it in San Francisco they're doing it with the lions the Cowboys don't have the coaching staff that could do it and we're just having a down year is making it look like Prescott is the cause and we all know there's a lot of money on the salary cap if you went through and read all these responses Jerry Jones didn't spend the money he didn't sign the players early enough to utilize the money this offseason but we'll have it next offseason what's we will have to see what he will do with it but dak Prescott's contract is no more insidious on our cap as the other 10 quarterbacks that are in that same area of pay scale other teams are adding players even with their quarterback making all that money.. It's not fair to Prescott that he only has one star player on offense and when they take that away in city lamb and they double him and make life hard on him we have nowhere else to go he's our offensive line is not blocking long enough people are not getting open other teams have two or three wide they have two or three running backs they have a better defense this is perspective it looks like Prescott's the reason we can't build a team and it's really Jerry Jones losing perspective especially this offseason on what we really needed and what we really had and I hope and it's no guarantee that he sees this mistakes that he made and has the money and gets us a little more talent 'cause it's not the quarterback that has been holding us down the last two decades Romo and Prescott are good enough but the team around them has fallen short due to our front office and it happens and this year you add in injuries and the coaching staff absolutely sucks and hopefully that gets remedied really quick..

You done? Never said the glare was my own or sole issue. There are too many problems with the franchise is the point, latest being Jerry's response to the glare or the Deion talk. And certainly more than just Dak's salary. R-e-l-a-x.
ARE YOU? Obviously not..... And I'm telling you the glare is a dumb thing to be talking about I just pointed it out I put it in common sense terms and you still don't get it... So you relax apparently this place needs to relax somebody needs to put Zoloft in the water that you all drink so that way we can all calm down but right now this is what it is if I hear something stupid and I believe talking about the sun and the glare is stupid given all the other conditions at other stadiums over the last 100 years in NFL stadiums there are problems all over the place they have to deal with weather Mother Nature bad turf all that crap I just went over and you still won't let it go so I'm gonna keep talking about it so are you done are you gonna relax or you just gonna read this and come back and I'm gonna keep coming back because I think it's the dumbest thing we have to talk about with all the other issues this is not an issue there may be 3 plays per year that we can talk about the glare and I have yet to see it actually cost us the game or the other team a game it's a play during a game when it happens on the final play but somehow we got blown out by the eagles and Prescott wasn't playing this was Cooper Russ having one of his worst days of his very already below average career and we're gonna talk about that play get over it get the flip over it

on PS I find this ironic and comical and somewhat entertaining not talking about the sun glare that we finally are having a truly bad season that all the things that are usually said in here are finally true and maybe some people can appreciate it and maybe you won't because it hasn't set in yet that winning 36 games two division titles being a number two seed last year going to the playoffs 5 at last eight years should seem a lot better than it has been because that's teams those teams who are a top six team in the NFL always on prime time playing well we have one down year and you all can't handle it this is actually how you typically describe the Cowboys years when they're not like this and we finally have a year that what is being said that is what we're actually watching..:muttley::espn::popcorn::thumbup:

There is hope.

Dallas was going to pay for Dak in 2025 in any case, because of the dead cap $.

They just added more money to 2025, and a ton of dead money to 2026-27.

They can leave the contract in early 2026.

You not only extended the terms of your car loan, but you agreed to re-purchase it for triple the original principle.
