Dak's Contract screwed us!

I have been a Dak fan an supported him overall, yet his new contract is so dumb (dumb, dumb, dumb). Let him play it out and then sign him if he does something.

Seriously, We sacrificed drafting a QB in the top 10 and actually having options or being forced to ride with him for the next 3 years with hard cap hits. Parsons and his big mouth, No OL help, No RB help, no DL to stop the run, and hoping a new coach in the next 2 years wants to even try.

What do we have? Diggs, and Lamb are the only building blocks we have.

I am sad, and never have I been this down on the team.

Again, I was never a Dak hater and still not, but you don't extend him.

I have a car loan right now. I would not re-finance it unless the interest allows me to pay it off sooner without sacrificing the age of the loan.
We were screwed with Dak before the first contact. He’s a loser.

ARE YOU? Obviously not..... And I'm telling you the glare is a dumb thing to be talking about I just pointed it out I put it in common sense terms and you still don't get it... So you relax apparently this place needs to relax somebody needs to put Zoloft in the water that you all drink so that way we can all calm down but right now this is what it is if I hear something stupid and I believe talking about the sun and the glare is stupid given all the other conditions at other stadiums over the last 100 years in NFL stadiums there are problems all over the place they have to deal with weather Mother Nature bad turf all that crap I just went over and you still won't let it go so I'm gonna keep talking about it so are you done are you gonna relax or you just gonna read this and come back and I'm gonna keep coming back because I think it's the dumbest thing we have to talk about with all the other issues this is not an issue there may be 3 plays per year that we can talk about the glare and I have yet to see it actually cost us the game or the other team a game it's a play during a game when it happens on the final play but somehow we got blown out by the eagles and Prescott wasn't playing this was Cooper Russ having one of his worst days of his very already below average career and we're gonna talk about that play get over it get the flip over it

on PS I find this ironic and comical and somewhat entertaining not talking about the sun glare that we finally are having a truly bad season that all the things that are usually said in here are finally true and maybe some people can appreciate it and maybe you won't because it hasn't set in yet that winning 36 games two division titles being a number two seed last year going to the playoffs 5 at last eight years should seem a lot better than it has been because that's teams those teams who are a top six team in the NFL always on prime time playing well we have one down year and you all can't handle it this is actually how you typically describe the Cowboys years when they're not like this and we finally have a year that what is being said that is what we're actually watching..:muttley::espn::popcorn::thumbup:
I'd suggest you send this to Cee Dee, Tolbert, Jerry, First Take, The Facility, and all the others.....but since the next game is an evening game......glare will not be a problem or mentioned. Then we can get back to the inept play on the field, on the sidelines, and up in the luxury booth.

And since there's a bit of overreaction, I'd agree the glare can be let go and refocus on the very things seen this year.......we ain't good. Haven't been with Dak to be perfect & flawless, and now Cooper is QB1 to be season savior......that is more evident we're about to be laughed at further and ineptness will rear its ugly head more. I hope you can identify it Monday night, we have problems, problems, problems. Hang on.

I suggest you do the same because no one's reading any of this but us and I'm telling you what I know from watching the Cowboys since 2009 when they moved in there and it has had not an effect on any big game and any big moment just because there was a handful of plays just like anything else that people can pick out and complain and whine about and use excuses about that don't make it right that doesn't make you right I already listed they people are gonna complain about the wind the rain the snow there's been some epic and I mean epically bad games played because of weather especially in Buffalo in northern States and do they make them get closed in stadiums no they make the teams who are visiting deal with it some of them can't even throw a 5 yard pass in some of those games then there was all those games we had to play against the 49ers that were full of mud pits and holes literally worst field conditions I've ever seen did people make excuses for that did they make them change things about that stadium because of one or two plays no they said it's just part of the game it's part of that atmosphere for that stadium until you get that we are done talking the weather has always been part of football and just because they moved indoors doesn't mean that there aren't gonna be unique things about a stadium that may or may not affect a few plays a year a year per year we're not talking about games being lost because of a few glares this only happens in like 2 games a year and only three total plays because that's when the angle of the sun is that it's worse like we saw last week but that game was over... That play meant nothing in the grand scheme of things just something to whine and complain about like you all like to do and I'm telling you it's a non story instead one thing that I agree with Jerry on people know it going in just like they knew the scoreboard when you punted you might have to put a little different it's no different than any of the other stadiums that may have weird turf weird humps like old Texas stadium I already brought this up people just adjusted and dealt with it they're not little Sissy babies whiny prima donnas the fan base has become the new soft NFL you all are soft you're soft you're buying into this height the dead player really truly effects outcomes and games and it doesn't it's no different than anything else I've seen baseball games where guys have lost the ball in either the sun or the lights on the indoor stadium and do they complain and it needs to be changed no this is be....d it's a dumb story it's a non factor..

Of course the players are gonna complain about it because they're already playing bad this year they're running bad routes they're dropping passes they're complaining and waiting on the sidelines because it's a bad year typically it's just sweeping under the rug and you move on but of course the media is hyping it up because it's scary in the Cowboys making this a story as if it's something it's nothing I'm telling you it's less than nothing so how about that why don't you bring that somewhere while you're eating this morning and you can well I'm not gonna get bits for you but you know what you can do with it it's a non factor a non story and it's dumb talking about it bye bye.

People can criticize Dak for his play and they can judge him for his salary demands, but there is only one person that screwed the Cowboys with that contract and he's not a player or a coach.

Dak did not force the team to offer him that contract. The team chose to do that. The decision was theirs to make and live with, and now they are.
Exactly..............People acting like Dak held a gun to Jerry's head and forced the Cowboys to pay him $60 mill a year.

Last time I checked, contracts are the responsibility of the GM of team................if you dont like a contract a player got, dont be an idiot and blame the player, blame the GM that gave it to him.

You can also blame the GM for the worst running game in the league thinking Zeke was still a legit threat, you can also blame the GM for an offensive line that could not block a litter of kittens from reaching a bowl of milk, you can also blame the GM for having a defense that is so pathetic that the team has trailed by 3 TDs at every home game dating back to the playoffs last year.

I could go on and on and on, but I think everybody gets the point.................JERRY JONES IS THE ONE AND ONLY PERSON TO BLAME FOR THE STATE OF THIS PATHETIC FRANCHISE.

It’s true.

Those teams were stacked.

The QB was a young loser QB though.
Then why didnt the GM of the team go get a legit QB then?

If you have a loser at QB and the GM says, "he is good enough"...............thats on the GM, I'm sorry, but the job of the GM is to build the team and part of that is selecting a QB.

If the GM thinks the QB is "good enough" and goes on and signs said QB to multiple franchise tags and long term extensions, why is it the loser QB's fault for the teams current state?

Blame the GM for thinking the loser QB was "good enough" for 9 years.

Who's the GM when it comes to Dak?

Jerry or McClay?

Ya'll switch it up too much.

Last time I checked, Jerry signs the checks...................but I have no love for McClay either, he should be fired as well.

Here is a little secret..............this team was not winning SBs before Dak got here and they aint gonna be winning any SBs after Dak is gone either, the real problem is the self appointed GM.

Do you think is just a big coincidence this team has not won jack since Jimmy Johnson left?

Nobody denies Jerry sucks.

The Cowboys have won with Jerry as the GM and owner though.

Nobody has won anything with Dak, Romo, and the other losers after Aikman at QB.

When Jerry decides to take the QB position seriously again the Cowboys will see success again.

Let's take personal feelings about Dak out of this equation when I say that Jerry had the PERFECT opportunity to let the current qb play out the season before signing.

If he did and Dak played outstanding he still could have kept him for 60 million OR he would also have the chance to draft a high pick rookie Qb instead.

If someone is a fan of the franchise they would want to see the FO have Both options.

He is the most overrated businessman I can think of in the modern era
Overrated businessman? He turned 175 million into close to 10 billion.

This team would have gone up in value whomever the owner was. Then Rams, Giants and Patriots have all increased their value upwards of 8 billion dollars.....the Cowboys historically have the most fans here and internationally but it has everything to do with the Cowboys brand.

The Cowboys were " America's Team" long before Jones arrived.

He's overrated in business solely because of his history of bad contracts and now his inability to manage a salary cap and aquire FAs of quality

According to the cap guru’s here you just flip a switch and the 89 million just disappears down the road and doesn’t mean a thing.
What happens is the contract is redone, Dak is paid another huge bonus, and that bonus can be spread out over the next 5 years. So, its just adds to the dead money assuming he doesn't make it 5 more years. So, it doesn't disappear. It just handicaps us down the road.

I understand fully many think it magically disappears they don’t understand the ramifications of dead money.

The best actual this franchise has at seeing true postseason success again, is something that won't happen. Which is either the Joneses selling the team or Jerry Jones allowing someone else to come in and take over as the GM. Until then fans are just going to be expecting every Cowboys QB who comes along to overcome the decades of failure the Cowboys have been suffering under Jerry Jones no matter who the QB is.

Paying Dak that kind of money AND giving Dak a no trade clause was monumentally stupid. Teams will eventually figure out that you can’t just pay the next man up a record setting deal if that player isn’t a world beater. And even then it’s a huge albatross to overcome.
