The reason Carr was cut by the Raiders was because of the ability to veto ANY trade. Carr said he woudn't accept any trade (full stop) and the Raiders because of that no trade clause in the contract had to release him and eat the cap number. We would have to do the same. Bottom line is Dak has us by the short and curly's as they say. Great job Jerry.

It's pretty inevitable that Jerry is going to extend Dak. Between his 2023 cap hit being untenable and being able to cite two playoff births and one win (I know it's not good enough for us but it is for Jerry) since signing the deal, it's going to happen. I don't know much about the contract process but I'm curious if they can nix that no trade clause when they do an extension/restructure, or does it stay in automatically?

I guess it's pretty counterintuitive to think that Jerry would trade Dak when he will almost certainly extend him, but it would be nice if the FO at least had the option, especially if they can somehow luck into a good QB in the draft since it sounds like QB will finally become a priority in the draft again. I do think that the second Jerry has any sort of a health scare that we may see the urgency to win ramp up considerably and he may actually consider trying to upgrade at the QB position, especially if we have another one and done playoff year. Or maybe just wishful thinking on my part.

Dak won't agree to remove the no trade clause because that's his assurance that he will remain a Cowboy and not get traded away to a basement dwelling team that is willing to give the Cowboys high draft picks.

What’s worse. Extending Dak or something else? Eagles had no problem eating wentz cap hit
Garrappolo sucks. And moving on from dak at this point there would be some 50 million in dead money.

so in every way your suggestion makes no sense at all. Took Eagles two years to get out from under the cap hit and they already had Hurts.

Jerry and Stephen are fully invested in Dak. He’s marketable as heck and just won man of the year. He’s gonna be here for another 6 years or so barring a massive nosedive or career threatening injury.
Pappy and His Doggs I got some authentic, Voo Doo Dolls. All of them come with authentic miniature #4 jerseys with Jerry patches on them (A two fer) each doll comes with Sterling silver needles

To enhance your pleasure.

I don't want you benched.

I think that you think getting benched is cool and edgy.

Yup. It’s clear Dak is not the answer and I would rather remove him now than wait. The result will be the same each time. Swing and a miss

Well, in reality, they can't move on from Dak because of the cap hit and the "you can't get rid of me unless I want you to" contract.

Another problem is JJ because he is not a General Manager like the eagles have, and the eagles manager saw the problem early and did something about it, and they won a SB and just almost won another. And by the way, I despise the eagles but to be honest, I'm jealous of them, but they knows how to build a team...JJ just know how to make tons of money and guzzle moonshine.
