I’ll keep saying it Jerry isn’t moving on from Dak until he has a better option at the position.

And efff up the North Pole too?

many of us said all along the FO would rue the day they inked that contract
You think they're rueing consecutive 12-win seasons and being among the top 8 teams this year?

What world do you people live in?

We're a pretty good team and the QB is a huge part of it. Downgrading at QB to save money is easily the dumbest option possible.

Yup. It’s clear Dak is not the answer and I would rather remove him now than wait. The result will be the same each time. Swing and a miss
I don't know why we continually argue with the kids. No amount of itchin, crying, pissin or moaning is going to get you people what you want. Dak is here for the foreseeable future

and no amount of your whining is gonna change that, Go root for another Team til he's gone. Either way MAN up girls ok. It'll be alright. It 's only 5 or 6 years. If / when, we win a championship with Dak as QB

Aww man ! I pray for this with out ceasing. I mean suicide hotline better be well staffed

It wouldn’t hurt the Cowboys to draft a QB at some point that has some real mobility that could be used in certain situations. Could be a way to push Dak.

How could he move on even if he did have a better option? JJ is stuck.

You’re right, and I wonder why this franchise continually fails for the past 28 years. No innovation, no balls, just more of the same.

I agree with " a pretty good " team

Philly was a "pretty good team" last season but their FO made sure they got to "Best Team" in the NFC and lost a SB by a field goal.

I'm not satisfied with 2-4 in the last 6 playoff games like you appear to be

Dak is your QB for the next 5-6 years so just forget about anything else happening. JJ will not bring in a free agent QB as that would prove him wrong about Dak....JJ will dumpster dive for a QB probably in the 6th or 7th round once or twice over the next few years but that's it. Being typical JJ in 5-6 years when Dak is finally released there will be nobody on this team waiting to fill his spot. The year Dak leaves JJ will over reach for another QB who will be in the same category as Dak and Romo and we will play the same scenario over and over again......

I'm sorry but I don't converse with people who speak in cliches or crowd speak. Up your content to something other than 28years drivel, just more of the same Blah Blah Bligedy Blah Blah

I'm not satisfied either, but how would getting rid of Dak make us a better team?

If there's an upgrade available, go for it.

If there's a kid we love in the draft, go for it.

But until we have an upgrade, what sense does it make to throw away our good-but-not-great QB?

I'm all for upgrading other positions like Philly did. A.J. Brown opposite CeeDee Lamb would've been scary.

Why don't we focus on those types of realistic upgrades... as opposed to the pipedream of pulling an elite QB out of our butts, and whining about how Dak isn't Mahomes until the end of time?

I love your "If you don't agree with me, go root for another team talk".

That's the most convincing argument anyone could ever think of!

Truly amazing!

My frustration continues with the atrocious job JJ did in negotiations with Dak's agent. I mean, seriously, he overpaid Dak with 40 mil a year AND gave him a no-trade clause? If he knew Dak wanted a no-trade clause, he could have at least used that as leverage to keep his price down.

"Okay, 25 mil a year or 22 mil a year with a no trade clause."

See how that works? You'll also notice I stuck to numbers commensurate with Dak's perceived value at the time. These numbers would be LOWER if the negotiations were happening now. It was absurd that Jerry allowed himself to be haggled up to 40.

Another thing: Be willing to let the player walk if he demands more than his value! I'd doubt another team would have offered Dak more than the 25 mil a year, but if they did, then Dak would be their problem now, not ours. He could have narrowly dodged a pick 6, only to throw that pick 6 on the next play for some other team. As soon as I saw that happen against Washington, I knew there was no way in hell this team was winning the Super Bowl, even with the luckiest bounces of the football.

The other thing that drives me insane is how Jerry guarantees Dak the starting job. Even with paying Dak top dollar, there should be competition in training camp for the job. If Dak can't beat out a stop-gap veteran or a rookie, he doesn't deserve the job. He can be a highly paid bench warmer while the QB who played better in camp and preseason starts.

Come on now little buddy I didn't say if you don't agree with me go root for another team. Come on now argue in good faith.

I stated that Dak is here for the forseeable future so if that's too unbearable for him then yes go root for another team. Never did I say IF YOU DON'T AGREE WITH ME Go root for another Team

See there's a difference. Reading Comprehension Buddy, It's a wonderful Thing.

Of course Dak can’t be replaced next season but I don’t have faith that the FO will make it any better for him

i have continuously said that the WR corp is substandard but many here said that the roster is just fine.

I wish Dakota had playmakers like the Niners have, 4 of those cats are among the leaders in YAC

another issue is this FO not drafting quality quarterbacks over the years. In the last 22 years the highest drafted Qb was Quincy Carter in the 2nd round and Stephen McGhee, Isiah Stanback, and other bums in the 4th round or higher……this list of quarterbacks drafted since 2001 is akin to a hate crime against us fans

having said all of this let’s draft a quality Qb to take over when Rayne leaves off.

Would love to find a franchise QB in the draft, preferably the next Mahomes.

Easier said than done. Jerry fell in love with Johnny Manziel and Paxton Lynch, and we luckily dodged those bullets.

Dak's not elite but those guys are VERY hard to find. But I'd be fine with drafting a QB and seeing if he can replace Dak in a year or 2, while still on his rookie deal.

In the meantime, I agree that we need to be aggressive in getting Dak some more playmakers.

The 4 teams that got further than us all had more talent than we did. 3 of them had vastly superior weapons around the QB, and the 4th had Patrick Mahomes.
