Dak, even though has improved this aspect greatly since college, still has a tendency to stare down his 1st option receiver. This is something he will have to learn through much experience.

Just a heads up

If he threw 1INT without throwing for a TD..he wouldn't have twice as many INTs as TDs

That's not how it works
Lets consult Mr Woopee

0 = 0 1 = 1 1 < 0 technically you are correct as 10 x 0 = 0 still. But anything but 0 is more.

Just throw a frickin TD this week.

OK. Not a real weakness because this will improve with experience--- Redzone passing. I have not seen a good pass from Dak down in the redzone. All fades and back shoulder stuff. This may be multi factorial from being extra careful with the ball and not taking chances, much harder read since field is compacted, rapport with his receivers. Or maybe the coaches are trying to protect him by conservative play calling.

Nevertheless, if this team wants to win they will need Dak to be better in the Redzone in terms of passing.

Nah, Im not seeing that. I dont think you can even call red zone passing a weakness. If you want to say experience and knowing the system I can agree with that because the guy is playing in his second game of his career.

More importantly, we need to run the ball better overall and in the red zone. Play calling would also help out a bit. He keeps going to Dez on that fade and Dez has no clue how to run a good fade. They need better continuity.

Not too worried about the redzone stuff since we've seen him execute on those plays in the preseason. Right now, I think it's the fluke of the small sample size. And the fact that scoring from the 10 yard line in is tough for everybody, and we seem to have gotten into that area quite a bit these first two games here.

As we go forward, I see Dak being exceptional in the redzone as his running abilities will open up a new angle there and the defense will have to account for that.

Agreed. No reason to worry.

He could very easily have 4 TDs right now, including 3 red zone TDs.

1.Beasley dropped an easy TD
2.Dez didn't make a catch he makes 8/10 times.
3.Breeland basically tackles Beasley to prevent a walk-in TD
4. Not red-zone, but if Swaim didn't run like a toddler who strolls into the end one.

Red zone passing requires anticipation Dak doesn't have yet. It will come.
