Makes me wonder if the Texans were really motivated to build this giant TV screen just because the Cowboys had a huge one. If they had no such previous plans to build such a TV screen, or planned for only a modest-sized one, then that would really say volumes about the influence of the Cowboys.

I would rather the Cowboys play at the old Cotton Bowl than what they play in now. An over glorified place to be seen and art museum posing as a football stadium. Give me real grass and bleachers.

Sorry everyone. I think the screen in At&T Stadium is the biggest drawback in the place. It was very hard to watch the actual game with that huge monstrosity right in front of your face. You have to force yourself to watch the field, when that thing is right there. I appreciate the replay aspect of it, but during play is something entirely different.
I still think its funny the Texans are trying to out-do the Cowboys. But once again, they aren't in the same league. Just like their fans... ...never will be.

I'm pretty sure the Texans installed the new board to get a SB & it worked.

The fact it's "bigger" than the Cowboys is a transient thing. The next stadium built will have a bigger one & it will just go on & on.

They are always coming up with something bigger & better technology wise. It just depends on what year you build.

The only criticism of the stadium is all that ugly art they have hanging around. It's a football stadium & not an art gallery. I know Charlotte was trying to be different but that crap is ugly.

This is easily the worst thing about the place. Charlotte had her Highland Park socialites in mind when decorating that place. I don't mind art, just make it Cowboys related for crying out loud.

I guess Daddy gave her & Mama freedom to put up all that stuff. Who knows maybe Jerry thinks that's great stuff.

Why are you blaming Charlotte for the art. Last I've read, that was a Jerry thing.

I saw a special once & it was Charlotte & Gene going around pointing out this artist's work & that one.

I have a sketchy memory of it but I am thinking that art stuff is on the Jones women.

I guess it really doesn't matter. I just don't think that stuff belongs in a football stadium. Major fail to me.

Or at least make it Cowboy related as someone else stated.

I did an edit and noted it was a Gene Jones thing. More than likely Charlotte was in charge of putting it together.

Prior to reading that article, tho I do recall reading that jerry was a proponent of the art.

I cannot recollect what show I saw that had the Jones ladies doing an art tour of the stadium. I saw Charlotte a few weeks ago on some RV show doing a tour of Jerry's RV. Nice ride.
