Agree- the more I think about this, Dallas should just release him.Not to mention he should have gone straight to the police that very night. He is at least an accomplice.
Because you are just arguing to argue. Cowboys have a culture problem. To argue against it just makes no sense......I didn't say that. I said "There is no culture good enough for some people. Aaron Hernandez is a perfect example."
I said nothing about it tarnishing the Pats record of how they handle troubled players. You reach for anything, don't ya? lol
I agree.Ya Chido was a decent #2 here and was a #1 CB on a Super Bowl team. Thats not bad career for a 2nd round CB
Yeah, he did something wrong. This happened weeks ago, he is considered complicit in this now as he helped cover it up.He probably does but so what. I have a dozen childhood buds who also have a record.. but none of them has ever shot anybody to my knowledge. My guess is that none of these guys had ever done so either.. which is why he could have screamed it out loud throughout the club and nobody would have taken him seriously. Including the guys he was hanging with. Drunk/high people say stupid crap all the time. "I'm gonna kill you!" probably gets spoken in nightclubs and bars almost as much as "Would you like come home with me, baby!" Neither gets much farther than talk in 99.99% of cases.
I couldn't pick Kelvin Joseph out of a lineup so I honestly could care less about him. My main thoughts are about the kid who got killed and this continued pattern of people killing each other over this sort of nonsense in our society. But I will say I'm not in favor of jumping to the conclusion that Joseph must somehow take the fall for whatever happened. Unless he pulled the trigger or refuses to cooperate with the investigation he has done nothing wrong other than having some idiot friends. Unfortunately a lot of guys his age are idiots... so he's hardly alone in that regard.
I bet you are....you're sick.Looking forward to seeing him as your new forum pic.
Who is arguing against it? Nobody even said that. Everyone knows the Cowboys culture sucks to the fullest degree.Because you are just arguing to argue. Cowboys have a culture problem. To argue against it just makes no sense......
That would be what most teams would do with the admission from the lawyer that he was in the vehicle from which the shots came. But this team is not like most teams. 30 other teams had no interest in bringing in Hardy.Agree- the more I think about this, Dallas should just release him.
AMEN!!!! Common sense. Why is this idea so difficult? It doesn't matter where you live, Ray Charles can even see that you don't hang out with that crowd.
absolutely right. If Joseph was in the car but was not the shooter then he should run full speed to the police immediately and offer to testify in exchange for immunity. Otherwise, if he does not cooperate fully he will be charged as an accomplice and his career as a football player - and rapper - will be over by the time he gets out of prison. Time is critical because if two of his friends come forward first, the DA won't need Joseph to secure a conviction.
The story has to be along the lines of the other guys in the car did not know the shooter was armed or that he was going to fire the gun. Or, they all pleaded with him not to shoot after he drew his gun.
It's a slim chance but it is the only chance he has to escape a multi-year sentence.
Why these young men who make it to the NFL, when so many other college players who tow the line never get that chance, throw their careers and talent away just to be seen as a thug to a bunch of other thugs is beyond me. I had high hopes for Joseph but obviously he has some growing up to do. Some guys don't grow up until it is too late.
Do you even remember what you replied to? You replied to a post of me commenting on the culture around here....are you senile or high?Who is arguing against it? Nobody even said that. Everyone knows the Cowboys culture sucks to the fullest degree.
All I said is that with some people it doesn't matter what the culture is they will just screw up.
You have a serious reading comprehension problem. You're either trolling or have a real issue with making things up that was never there.
Ronnie your a level headed poster that I make a point to read. Most boys arent carrying guns partying and if they feel the need to be protected its the wrong frigging boys. Now the rest of your defense is reasonable. Yes I would be quite till I was away from the trouble and would take sometime to consider my options. If this is just todays culture it is evolving in the wrong direction too fastJust going out partying with your boys should not be automatically interpreted as "put himself at risk." He could very well not have known anybody had a gun until there were shots fired at which point self preservation might dictate that you "play it cool" until you can get the hell out of there. That might mean sitting quietly in the car until you got dropped off somewhere. Make too much noise about what just happened and you end up laying on the pavement in a yellow outline too because any idiot stupid enough to open fire on a kid walking to his car is certainly stupid enough to shoot his "friend" if he protests too much.
It's unfortunate that this has happened to this young man no matter how it went down. A young person lost his life over some pointless bullcrap and eventually several lives will be ruined as a result. This sucks well beyond anything that has to do with football.
and its sad. But yeah.I mean, if he was in the car and shots were fired that killed Ray, he’s done for.
Brent killed the guy because he was drunk driving. Did Joseph kill the young man? The league won’t put him on the list unless their is some kind of outcry and evidence suggests that Joseph was a part of this murder. For reference Brent got 10 games for Jerry Browns death. Not the same, but its a start. I think the exempt list is also likely so it could be almost two years before he plays again
Cutting bait is hard to predict with this franchise. They probably should, given that it's hard to sell thag he wasnt involved when he has placed himself in the vehicle. However, I can him being a Jones rehab special too
I bet the ink is still wetI bet Jerry is drooling at the opportunity of extending him on the cheap.
The law of parties is about conspirators. If you conspired to commit a crime then you are guilty of that crime. It's the difference between knowing and not knowing. If you had prior knowledge that a crime was about to take place, and you proceed to encourage or aid in the commission of that crime, then you will receive the same charges as the perpetrator of that crime. Whether you were just standing guard or you were the get away driver. They call it “Law of Parties” in Texas but it’s the same legal concept. Oz doesn’t want to understand that.
He was in an automobile with a shooter and knowingly knew that shooter killed someone? He's cooked.
