Just a thought from a Cowboy fan living in Missouri. Much as JJ gets ragged on at least he cares. I live a state with Chief and Ram fans and let me tell you the Rams owner does not care. In fact I bet they leave for L.a.
The Chiefs are cheap and they never have drafted a starting Qb in years and as long as Hunt family puts butts in seats he will never spend money.

I have no issues with Jerry the Owner. I get aggravated at Jerry the GM, on occasion, though!

OK. I live in Marshfield, work at Bass Pro Corporate Office in Springfield. There's quite a few Dallas fans in this neck of the woods.

MO is full of Cowboys fans the alternatives were either Chiefs/Cards/Then Rams. Though when you get close to STL Bears have good following

I know most Cowboys games get televised as long as they're not on directly against the Rams or Chiefs.

I lived in MO until I was 13, I was an 80's child so I had to suffer through the Chiefs and Cards but the first game I watched was a Cowboys/Cards game and fell in love with the Star.

I'm transplanted here from Texas, originally. Became a Dallas fan when Dallas became a team...I go a ways back.

i think thats what most fans feel. as an owner jerry is everything you want. he cares about the players and he has no problem spending money. over the years he has had his struggles with the gm job. but in recent years i think it has gotten better. maybe because he has more people around him who give their honest opinion

Completely agree. We, as a fan base, could do a hell of a lot worse.

There are a lot worse owners the Jerry. Tom Benson and his daughter are awful people and awful owners. They lucked into getting Drew Brees who was all set to go to Miami, but didn't pass their physical. Robert Kraft's Patriots win, but anybody that knows him on a business level has little good to say about the guy. The McCaskey family in Chicago is a joke. Zygi Wilf is extremely shady and Jimmy Haslam has his own issues with the law. Jim Irsay is a bag of garbage that had to luck out by being so bad that they had the #1 pick and got to pick up Peyton Manning and then stunk their way into getting Andrew Luck. I don't think we really need to go on about the Bidwell's who would bill players for FedEx'ing their contract to the player's home, among many other things. What have the Jets ever done to make people think Woody Johnson is a better owner than Jerry? Ralph Wilson was even worse and as Doug Flutie said in A Football Life, his benching in favor of Rob Johnson was a decision made by Wilson and *not* Wade Phillips (I've been saying this since it happened).

The Ray Rice situation is a sad mess (otherwise I like Bisciotti a lot). Bud Adams was a walking piece of garbage. I'm not sure what Bob McNair has ever won to make people think he's a better owner than Jerry. Let's not get into Al Davis or the Spanos family which seemed to think that after being arguably the worst franchise in football and having Marty Schottenheimer bring them to a 14-2 record...they fire Schottenheimer. What has the Ford family ever accomplished in the NFL in the past 40 years?

Jerry Richardson is another pile of garbage who lied about how much profit the Panthers made and tried his best to force a league lockout. He also scoffed at the notion of CTE and other brain trauma players suffer from head injuries and told Drew Brees 'what would you know about that?' The Glazers basically quit caring about the Bucs once they won the Super Bowl in 2002. The Yorks were a sad joke until Harbaugh came along and now they want to fire him.

I don't think I need to go into Snyder and John Mara.

Even with the recent success, I would prefer Jerry to not be the General Manager. I just think it is too much of a workload for any 1 person to undertake and I prefer the days of Tex Schramm where he did not really get involved with the player evaluation process even though he was the GM, but was always a step ahead of the game in providing the players, coaching staff and the scouts with the best resources available.

But, I would still take Jerry the owner with Jerry the GM over most of the ownerships that are not the GM in the league. So many owners in the NFL are out-and-out scumbags and being a successful franchise often comes down to luck, finding a franchise QB which usually comes from losing and drafting the QB, and having great coaches.

Lamar Hunt hired Carl Peterson to do just one thing - put butts in seats. He was very good at his job. Here are some examples - Remember Marcus Allen, Joe Montana and Priest Holmes wearing Chief jerseys? All Hunt wanted was to make his money off of efforts from people like Jerry Jones. Same situation in Cincinatti witih the Brown family.
