Just a thought from a Cowboy fan living in Missouri. Much as JJ gets ragged on at least he cares. I live a state with Chief and Ram fans and let me tell you the Rams owner does not care. In fact I bet they leave for L.a.
The Chiefs are cheap and they never have drafted a starting Qb in years and as long as Hunt family puts butts in seats he will never spend money.

Ill give credit where credit is due. Signing Scandrick when we did, i was like what the heck is going on? Now, well im eating crow. And it tastes bad

Even with the recent success, I would prefer Jerry to not be the General Manager. I just think it is too much of a workload for any 1 person to undertake and I prefer the days of Tex Schramm where he did not really get involved with the player evaluation process even though he was the GM, but was always a step ahead of the game in providing the players, coaching staff and the scouts with the best resources available.

Jimmy Haslam right now looks like the worst as he starts this season with a new President, GM, HC, maybe QB.
To me the question is not is Jerry the worst, but could he be better? Easily if he got past his issues, and we would all be happier, including himself.
Ironic, he bought this team because of the way it was run, then was bent on doing it completely different.

I taught Navy JROTC. I also stayed at the Holiday Inn Express last night, so maybe I can help. But then again, you may be beyond help...:D

As an owner as far as running an organization and making it profitable, I find there is none better than Jerry. As an owner for me as a fan, I think he is one of the 'good ones.' We don't have to worry about Jerry threatening to move the team to LA and hold the taxpayers hostage. His business is fairly clean as far as billionaires go. There are some things I don't like about the new stadium, but I think there is a crisis that is coming up in NFL stadiums in the next few years and Jerry is basically ahead of the league with the design of the stadium. He has marketed his team brilliantly instead of doing nothing and letting other teams subsidize the organization.

The other owners I hold in the same regard as Jerry are Lurie, Bowlen, Blank and Paul Allen. Of course, the Packers system where the fans are the owners I feel is the best situation in all of football.

I have no issues with Jerry the Owner. I get aggravated at Jerry the GM, on occasion, though!

Jerry the Owner is the reason why you have a Jerry the GM.

Perhaps you do have issues with Jerry the Owner, then.

I am aware that you can't separate the two. I am just stating that part of him isn't all that bad. But then again, that's just my opinion, so it doesn't really matter.

Hell of a lot worse than .500 ???

Oh man.

Uh, yea. Like it or not, he did own the team in the 90's when they won three SB's. Look, I'm not a Jones apologist by any means, but he's not the worst owner in the league, not even close. So yes, we could do worse, as hard as that is for some to believe.

There's a lot of good in the worst of us, and a lot of bad in the best of us.

I think Jones is a good businessman, but a terrible owner.

I agree that he could be a lot better in many aspects. I certainly could be wrong, but it seems as though he's had a shift in philosophy regarding building a roster in the last couple of years. I truly think this team is headed in a good direction right now. He does own the team and there's nothing any of us can do about that short of shelling out a few Billion $ to buy the team. Given that scenario, all I can do is find another team to root for or root for the one I have. I choose the latter. :)

Terrible owner? :lmao2:Tell us another.

If you think he's a good owner, not businessman in terms of making money, but a good owner, that's your prerogative.

I think he's a terrible owner.

Iggles fans?

Just when I thought throwing snowballs at Santa was as bad as it gets, this year one of their fans stole a prosthetic leg from a Vietnam veteran.

Cheering when Irvin was carried off the field did not help either.

This is going back, but I rented out the movie 42....the Phillies manager (Ben Chapman) was over-the-top race-baiting Jackie Robinson. Woke me up on how bad it was in a segregated society. Chapman was STUPID even if you took out the racism and it was just extreme smack...AND he was insulting the other Dodger's teamates. Would not be tolerated today even at that level.

Could not help but to notice it was in Philladelphia.

We'll just agree that I'm right rather than bothering with the whole disagree thingy.
